10 COMMERCIAL CONTINUES WITH EXPANSION OF ADDITIONAL COMMERCIAL HAZARDOUS WASTE SOLUTIONS IN INDIA SMSIL owns and operates a 72 tpd hazardous waste treatment facility The facility processes different waste streams simultaneously Syngas is used to create electricity which is exported to grid SMSIL actively developing new projects 2 in EIA stage; targeted early 2014 approvals SMSIL and Alter NRG cooperate to replicate the Pune configuration around the world We are pleased to be working with the industry leader, Westinghouse Plasma, and have aggressive plans to develop and build plasma gasification facilities ourselves and for our customers in India and the Middle East. We have received many inquiries from customers who want to construct facilities similar to the plants in Pune and Nagpur. 11 OTHER RECENT COMMERCIALIZATION: BIOMASS TO LIQUID FUELS DEMONSTRATION FACILITY WUHAN, CHINA Wuhan Kaidi s demonstration facility in Wuhan, China Gasifier commissioned in Q1, 2013 Kaidi needed reliable gasifier to support fuels production. Demonstration portion of facility to convert syngas to liquid fuels. Kaidi has more that 100 identified sites for the conversion of biomassto-energy (both power and liquids) Kaidi is a publicly traded company in China with ~ $2 billion USD annual revenues We are pleased to be working with the Westinghouse plasma solution and believe it provides fuel flexibility for the more than 150 biomass projects that we plan to develop throughout China. We are looking to begin development immediately of a small scale project that can be used as a reference to aggressively build out many larger scale facilities in the near-term. - Mr. Chen Yilong, Chairman of Kaidi 11
12 OTHER RECENT COMMERCIALIZATION: HAZARDOUS WASTE DEMONSTRATION FACILITY SHANGHAI, CHINA GTS demonstration facility; colocated with Shanghai Chengtou in Shanghai, China Planning to test individual components October/November, 2013 Westinghouse Plasma delivered gasifier IP & plasma torches Integration with existing incinerator; processing incinerator ash and medical waste Alter NRG is working with GTS Energy Technology ( GTS ) on a demonstration application of plasma gasification treating incinerator bottom and fly ash. This will be demonstrated in combination with GTS s incineration grate technology. The overall capacity of the demonstration facility is 250 tons per day of municipal solid waste (MSW). With this solution the plasma gasifier will process approximately 40 tpd of MSW, incinerator bottom ash and incinerator fly ash. 12
13 OTHER RECENT COMMERCIALIZATION: GREEN ENERGY SOLUTIONS (GES) ANNOUNCES COMMERCIAL MSW FACILITY IN BIJIE CHINA Recently announced 600tpd MSW facility awaiting final NDRC approvals GES signed BOT contract with Provincial Government August 2013 Facility to divert 200,000 metric tons of waste; produce 15MW electricity + other usable products. The Bijie project is first commercial scale plasma facility in China Bijie project uses globally recognized, commercially proven Westinghouse Plasma Gasification technology. Ground-breaking late
