How do cities being centers of global development and ressource consumption neeed to act?. but the solutions for these conflicts are rather less known. 4 Sources: theguardian.com At Europen level is looked for responses targets of the European Council for 2020 (2007) Reduction of Greenhouse gas emissions are to be reduced by at least 20% as compared to 1990 Energy efficiency is to be improved by 20% over current figueres The EU energy consumption produced from renewable sources is to attain 20% of the total energy consumption EU Commission and EU Parliament to 2030 targets (2014) The EU-wide CO 2 -emission volume is to be reduced by 40% till 2030 compared to 1990 levels targets by the heads of state or government (2009) Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the EU by 80% to 95% versus 1990.
