2 COMPANY s PROFILE The Dominica Water and Sewerage Company Limited (DOWASCO) is a registered company owned wholly by the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica. DOWASCO was established as a water and sewerage company by an act of Parliament, Water and Sewerage act N0. 17, in December of DOWASCO is equipped and computerized for financial, administrative and clerical support services, and operates an equipped laboratory for daily water quality monitoring and treatment of the water supplies.

Mission DOWASCO exists to enhance the lives of its customers by providing quality water and sewerage services through the use of appropriate technology, skilled employees, sound management and environmentally sustainable practices.

5 WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS Dowasco maintains 44 independent water supply system The largest serves the cities of Roseau/Environs, Portsmouth/Picard, Wesley/Woodfordhill/Marigot, Grandbay, Carib Territory/Atkinson 9 water systems serves population between 1,000-3,000 people 35 other systems serves population < than 1,000 people
