The increase of five times of renewable energies in the energy total consumption, from 0,8% currently to 4,3% in 2014, and the generation of 550 megawatts of this type of energy (including cogeneration)

10 Tunisian Solar Plan This Tunisian Solar Plan (TSP) aims at implementing the presidential programme and attests to the will of the Tunisian State to promote concrete actions in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energies. Besides, it confirms Tunisia's ambition to become an international hub for industrial and energy production and exportation in the solar sector.

11 TUNISIAN SOLAR PLAN PLAN CONSISTENCY AND TOTALCOST OVERALL PRESENTATION : The Tunisian Solar Plan comprises 5 chapters, dedicated each to a specific field of energy activity, and comprising altogether 40 projects. EXECUTION PERIOD : This TSP extends over the period PROGRAMME TOTAL COST: The total cost of the TSP is estimated as 3600 MTND that is 2000 M, The breakdown of its financing is as follows : 264 MTND, that is 145 M : by the National Energy Conservation Fund (FNME) 800 MTND, that is 445 M : by the public sector (of which 580 MTND by STEG) 2500 MTND, that is 1390 M : by private funds, of which 1074 MTND for projects whose production is intended for exportation. 36 MTND, that is 20 M by international cooperation.

12 TUNISIAN SOLAR PLAN IMPACT ENERGY IMPACT :The energy saving expected when all projects will be achieved and would be in the order 660 Ktoe per year that complement the national energy conservation s effort. ENVIRONNEMENTAL IMPACT : The CO2 quantity avoided by these projects is estimated as tons per yer, thus tapping CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) proceeds of around 260 MD over 10 years (based on 10 per ton).
