AHK Workshop Date : 14/02/2012 Authors : Slim Nasraoui / CEO Khaled Nasraoui / DCEO
Summary I.Company overview II.Company portfolio III. Tunisian solar dashboard IV.Frame conditions for local PV development : seen by Aurasol
Company Overview
Company overview Company foundation: 15th of April 2011 Headquarter: Technopole Manouba, Tunisia Production area: Oued ezzargua for a social purpose (70 km from Tunis International Airport) Tunis Algeria Lybia Egypt
Company Portfolio
Company Portfolio : Residential BIPV Megaslate: 3 different laminates sizes Aurasol BIPV Residential Solution: Quality proven : Respecting European quality standards : TÜV, CSTB Design : Esthetic black frameless laminates (black cells + black backsheet) Waterproof : for roofs inclination between 10 and 55 High efficiency : thanks to the passive aeration between the laminates Easy to handle : quick & easy to install. Installation cost rationalization Reliable : Resistant to snow, wind and hail
Auraminate : For modern and complex architectural design (1/2) 12 different laminates size: For optimized roof coverage Different laminates shapes : Triangular, trapezoid laminates in order to ensure a homogenous roof integration.
Auraminate : For modern and complex architectural design (2/2) Different laminates color : Available in black, red, green and blue, to realize your colored PV roof or facade Transparent laminates : Glass -glass or Glass transparent backsheet laminates Quality: Proven quality process established by the German member of PV expert association
Company Portfolio : AuraGreen Industrial BIPV - BIPV solutions Glass/glass application Aurasol BIPV Solution: Greenhouse Solar Systems Carports Glass/glass application Customized solutions
Aura++ : The high efficience black module from Aurasol General characteristics : Best material combination to improve a better performance! Innovative process 60 cells module Efficiency : 260Wp minimum. Maximum efficiency in the market 260 Wp => Yingli module Beauty in black: black cells, black backsheet, black frame, Roadmap : Datasheet available by 15th March 2012
Tunisian Solar Dashboard North Africa - a big solar potential!!! Irradiation rate = 1600 kwh/m² = > 50% more harvest as north west Europe (based on PVGIS) Tunisian solar plan : Prosol éléctrique On grid application : 20 MWp of Power Plants, 15 MWp on roof applications Off grid application : 200 Water pumping systems, 0,5 MW of public electrification, 1000 PV systems etc Public incentives and policy and for PV promotion Installation financing with bank partnership : For example Attijari bank Other lighthouse projects?
Business cases study : Residential application (1/3) Assumptions Irradiation rate : based on PVGIS simulation (pvgis.com) = 1500KWh/Kwp Wp price = 0,80 /Wp Inverter Price = 500 Installed Wp = 2000 /Kwp 15 % of the yearly consummated energy in the evening Prosol elec incentives Electricity price = 0,131 DT/ Kwh
Business cases study : Residential application (2/3) Average of 12 Years for system PV paying off!!
Business cases study : Residential application (3/3) How to make residential applications more attractive? Wp price decrease = We can expect 9 years system PV paid off by the end of 2012 Full or partial net metering : we can reach 5 years PV system paid off Battery financing : We can reach 4 years PV system paid off Extra investments needed : Grid investment PV industry promotion More incentives : Feed in Tariff But worth doing it!!!! Residential represents 17% of the global Tunisian energy demand Job creation Less dependency on petroleum
4. Tunisia Big PV potential PV plant figure North Africa - a big solar potential!!! Irradiation rate = 1500 kwh/kwpeak PV KWh cost /kwp Installation cost / (20 a system live time x 1500 Kwh/kwpeak specific harvest = 6,6 cent/kwh and still decreasing!! Nuclear Kwh = 3 cent/kwh (based on a french government study) but dangerous (Fukushima) Gaz Kwh = 4 cent/kwh but limited resource and market depending By 2013, Tunisia can provide in the next coming year Europe with green offshore power. Less dependency on Algerian gaz which can be exported instead
Frame conditions for local PV development : seen by Aurasol
Frame conditions Grid parity reached, market liberalization! By 2013, the cost (PV KWh) < cost (the Grid KWh) due to the Wp price decrease Offer the possibility to private investment to contract the STEG on power supplying for 20 years. Incentives or net metering conditions Reference Projects : Theory is good but reality is better For financing, banks needs real measurement data. For quality monitoring : EL measurement..delamination etc. => extra tests might be needed Aurasol will install 50 KWp on its own factory as a first reference project Special Feed in Tariff for Battery and energy storage The future of PV is storage To trigger R&D To trigger private investment
Auf Wiedersehen und vielen Dank! Slim Nasraoui / CEO aurasol Khaled Nasraoui / DCEO aurasol Tel : slim.nasraoui@aurasol-pv.com ZI Oued Ezzargua 9014, Beja Tunisie
