6 Real Estate as Economic Engines The Real Estate Development team for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development manages a portfolio of projects worth more than $13 billion. DMPED real estate projects are located across all eight wards and vary in size from small-scale neighborhood retail to large scale mixed-use initiatives. 1 Full-year equivalent 6
