2 Who We Are - Irving Oil Irving Oil is a private refining and marketing company, employing approximately 3,000 people in Atlantic Canada, Quebec, and New England The refinery opened in 1960 on a 780-acre site and has been upgraded throughout the years, including a $1.5 billion upgrade project in With a workforce of 1,500, we operate the largest refinery, not only in Canada, but also along the Eastern seaboard. Our company has a long history of forming mutually beneficial partnerships to leverage each other s strengths and build lasting relationships.
3 Who We Are - Irving Oil Refinery Canada s largest refinery, producing over 300,000 bpd of finished energy products. Refine products for our wholesale and retail markets (gasoline, diesel, heating oil, jet fuel, propane, asphalt and bunker). Export over 80 per cent of production to the U.S (75 % of Canada's gasoline exports to the U.S. and 19 % of US gasoline imports).
4 Discussion Who We Are - Irving Canaport First of its kind in the western hemisphere when opened in Situated in the Bay of Fundy at the entrance of the Saint John harbour, an ice-free, year round location, 60 miles from the US border. Only port between Halifax and Louisiana able to handle supertanker cargoes. Covers 1,802 acres and has a water depth of 128 feet at low tide.
5 Irving Oil Overview Over 900 retail sites serving customers throughout Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and New England. Heating oil, propane and diesel to residential and commercial customers with over 1 million deliveries every year. Liquefied natural gas receiving terminal, Canaport LNG, capacity to supply 20% of natural gas demand in US Northeast and Canadian Maritimes.
