2 Japan / Yokohama Smart City Project (YSCP) One of the world's largest scale Smart City construction is on going in Yokohama Scheme One of four next-generation energy and social system demonstrations by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Selected in April, Features Large-scale established city Citizens and Yokohama based company cooperation. Aim Cooperation of various demand side energy management systems and Community Energy Management System (CEMS). The efficient use of energy by demand response from the CEMS. Provide new value to customers by utilizing a network of CEMS. CEMS:Community Energy Management System DR:Demand Response--- Varying the power consumption pattern to suppress customer power usage by setting the electricity price and/or incentives, in case system become unreliable and/or power prices become high. 2
