UrbanGreen Rainwater Harvesting Flexible Runoff Reduction Solution Rainwater Harvesting : LID strives to eliminate runoff by reducing impervious area and infiltrating wherever practical. If your site has high groundwater, soils with low permeability, bedrock, or other limiting conditions, infiltration alone may not provide enough runoff reduction to meet regulations. That s when rainwater harvesting is an important tool to help meet runoff reduction requirements. With the UrbanGreen Rainwater Harvesting System, you have all the components to build an efficient and effective water re-use or runoff reduction integrated management practice. Fully integrated turn-key system from single provider Complete sizing and engineering support Easy installation Flexible systems with many options System warranty and ongoing maintenance service Provide up to 12 LEED credits To view the Rainwater Harvesting Animation, visit: animation Applications Irrigation Toilet flushing Vehicle washing Contech provides: Cisterns Pretreatment Mechanical systems Cooling make-up Laundry To use the Rainwater Harvesting Runoff Reduction Calculator tool, visit: calculator Learn more at 5

A commercial property owner installed the UrbanGreen BioFilter in a busy parking lot UrbanGreen BioFilter Biofiltration The UrbanGreen BioFilter combines the pollutant removal/stormwater quality benefits of natural biofiltration with the reliability and predictable performance of an engineered system. Constructed in a curb inlet or roof drain configuration, the UrbanGreen BioFilter's decentralized sizing strategy aligns with other low impact development practices. Each one treats smaller drainage areas at the source, rather than at the end of a pipe. Multiple inline and offline configurations available to meet site specific needs Internal bypass available to eliminate the need and cost associated with an external bypass structure Optimized biomedia maintains high pollutant removal while maintaining high infiltration rates and increased system longevity Applications Parking lots, roadways, custom cast in place Combine with Contech's infiltration products for maximum runoff reduction Learn the Design, Operation and Maintenance Considerations for Biofiltration Boxes online at 10

The Stormwater Management StormFilter Filtration For almost two decades, the StormFilter has helped meet the most stringent regulatory requirements for stormwater treatment. Over 125,000 cartridges have been utilized for various projects. Using a variety of media, our filtration solutions remove the most challenging pollutants including solids (down to 15 um), heavy metals, oil, grease and nutrients, including phosphorous. First proven filter on the market, performance verified by the WA DOE and NJ DEP qualifies for LEED credits Only field-tested filter on the market per TARP and TAPE protocols Longevity proven by thousands of installations Designed for predicable maintenance intervals from 1 to 3 years Options for most hydraulic needs Applications / Configurations Upstream: catch basin, curb inlet, linear grate Infiltration well / dry well Roof runoff: downspout Downstream: vault, manhole, high flow, volume, peak diversion Industrial See the StormFilter in action at Videos include: Maintenance demonstration Cartridge overview Full system animation Supported by HydroCad The Intercounty Connector in Maryland incorporated the StormFilter (like below) to meet stormwater regulations 11

The high surface area membrane filtration of the Jellyfish Filter is easy to inspect and maintain Jellyfish Filter The Jellyfish Filter is an engineered stormwater quality treatment technology featuring pretreatment and membrane filtration in a compact stand-alone treatment system that removes a high level and wide variety of stormwater pollutants and has numerous agency approvals. Filtration High surface area membrane filtration High design treatment flow rate per cartridge up to 80 gpm (5L/s) Separation skirt traps oil, trash and debris outside the filtration zone Field tested per TARP protocol and NJDEP approved for 80% TSS removal at 80 gpm per 54 cartridge Compact system decreases installed cost and site footprint Easy to inspect & maintain Applications/Configurations Manhole & Curb Inlet Urban Treatment - small drainage area Pretreatment for bioretention and infiltration Pretreatment for rainwater harvesting and reuse Jellyfish Filter See the Jellyfish animation at jellyfish 12 Learn more at

Hydrodynamic Separation For more than 20 years, our hydrodynamic separation solutions have been providing reliable stormwater treatment solutions. With performance proven in the lab and in the field at sites across the country, these systems are widely accepted for effective solids removal. Over 40,000 units have been installed for various projects. Especially efficient on gross solids, trash and debris, they are an optimal choice for pretreatment systems. CDS Hydrodynamic Separation Using patented continuous deflective separation technology, the CDS system effectively screens, separates and traps debris, sediment and oil from stormwater runoff. It is an ideal system to meet trash TMDL requirements. Captures and retains 100% of floatables meets trash TMDL requirments Self-cleaning screen is the only non-blocking screening technology available Performance verified by NJCAT and WA DOE Configurations CDS Inline and grated inlet Multiple pipe inlets eliminate the need for junction manholes and offset pipe orientations Internal and external bypass For more info on operation, design and performance, visit CDS provides pretreatment for a rainwater harvesting system in a California Public Park 13

Road runoff is treated with a Vortechs system (similar to above) at a Texas Emergency Medical Services Facility Vortechs The Vortechs system s swirl concentrator and flow controls work together to create a low Vortechs animation available at energy environment, ideal for capturing and rt e c h s storing fine particles and other pollutants of Hydrodynamic Separation concern. VortSentry HS The VortSentry HS is a hydrodynamic separator Shallow system profile means installation is easier and less with a small footprint that makes it an effective expensive, especially on sites with high groundwater or bedrock treatment option for small sites Large swirl chamber enhances very fine particle removal where space is at a premium. (down to 50 microns) Hydrodynamic Separation Proven performance shown by third-party field verification Configurations Online Offline Cast-in-Place Compact manhole footprint and pipe routing, ideal for congested sites Internal bypass simplifies installation Backed by full-scale laboratory testing Configurations 14 VortSentry HS Vortechs Inline Grated inlet Learn more at urbangreen

Maintenance All stormwater management systems whether natural or manufactured should be maintained regularly. Despite the widespread implementation of BMPs, water quality goals will not be met if the treatment structures are not properly cleaned and maintained. Systems vary in their maintenance needs, and the selection of a cost-effective and easy-to-access treatment system can mean a huge difference in maintenance expenses for years to come. We design all our products to minimize maintenance and make it as easy and inexpensive as possible to keep our systems working properly. Find maintenance information for all our products at StormFilter Maintenance Event 15
