3 Changes to Market Manual 7.2: Overview Separation of SSRs and SAAs into the new reports: Adequacy, Transmission Limits, Advisory Notices and Zonal Demands New submission method for market participants with energy limited resources (using Online IESO) Threshold criteria for publishing Advisory Notices for Major Changes replaced with increased publication of information. Examples provided when Advisory Notices for Major Changes or High Risk would occasionally be published. Revised list of interface limits to report (discussed later) 3

8 Adequacy Report Recap Last version (posted March 2015) addressed the following stakeholder comments: Inclusion of Peak and Average Demand forecasts Inclusion of Embedded Wind and Solar forecasts Consistent format and content across all reporting timeframes (i.e. Days 0 to 34) East/West zonal demand forecasts will continue to be published, through a separate report 8
9 Adequacy Report Changes Revised version now posted on the SE-AR page and includes the following changes: Added (rationale) Capacity Imports and Exports (capacity sharing agreement with Quebec) Bottled Capacity (increased transparency) Demand Response Bid, Schedule and Curtailment (inclusion of DR Auction) Removed (rationale) Wind and Solar Offers (only forecasts available) Dispatchable Load Outages (currently no mechanism to calculate) Total Internal Resource Bids (captured under Dispatchable Load) Offered Capacity Excess/Shortfall (to differentiate from Installed Capacity Excess/Shortfall) 9
10 RSS Feeds for Advisory Notices 3 feeds available via IESO website: Day 0 Advisory Notices Day 1 to 34 Advisory Notices Emergency Advisory Notices Feeds include the following: Version (unique feed ID with version no.) Issue date (i.e. original date/time) & Update date Start and End date (i.e. duration of the notice) Advisory Type (e.g. System, Market Suspension etc.) Short and Long Descriptions (e.g. Surplus Baseload Generation is forecasted) 10
