7 Sustainable Product Management Current supplier check More than 80% of our suppliers are compliant with the Greenpeace guidelines concerning restricted substances. Our target is to achieve 100% by the end of 2017! New project Compostable thread based on TENCEL fibres natural resource, bio-degradable, higher tensile strength (in wet condition) compostable colours and lubricants (ecological footprint) 7

11 1 1 1 Example: Recycling of PP spools Granulate can be further used for other PP products 4 1 Used polypropylene (PP) dye spools are collected after bonding and/or final winding. They have become distorted/deformed during the dyeing process and therefore they cannot be used again in this condition. The outcome: very fine granulate 3 2 The spools are fed into a shredding machine which granulates the polypropylene into ~5mm 2 granules. 11

13 Example: LED s go LED Project In 2015, the production plants in Germany, China and Bangladesh replaced all fluorescent tubes with LED tubes. Advantages of LED tubes: Energy saving (more than 60%) Higher life expectancy (5 times higher) Minor evolution of heat No UV or IR radiation No switch-on delay No jitter Contain no toxic mercury LED s go LED LED tube application at the Bangladesh plant 13

Pielenz Foundation which is named after its founder who has been the CEO of AMANN from 1968 till Through the transfer of his shares to the foundation, Hanns A. Pielenz ensured the continuation of the traditional family business and a long-term support of regional cultural and charitable institutions.
