2 Who We Are ItN Nanovation AG is a German company, based in Saarbrücken, specialized in nanotechnology and special coatings. Founded in 2000, IPO occurred in 2006; since 2009, its shares are listed in the XETRA General Standard. Through its brand, ItN Nanovation AG is specialized in applications and solutions in the area of water filtration, specifically in Reverse-Osmosis pre-treatment, and Moving Bed Bio Reactors (MBBR). Sales in 2012 were ~ 2 Mio. Our project pipeline contains > 80 Mio for the next 3 years. 2

24 Deep Ground Water Filtration with CFM Saudi-Arabia case study Starting situation: Water filtration through sand filters or polymer filters Problem: Conventional technology is neither efficient, nor effective. With sand filters, about 30% of the inflowing water is getting wasted. Polymer filters show frequent cloggings and blockings, causing costly downtimes. Large amounts of chemicals needed, Radium removal is still not satisfying. The solution: Sand filter retrofit rack containing CFM modules. 100% capacity expansion, using existing plant and installations.
