2 About our Courses. Horizon S.H.E Training has taken years to research and develop their training modules and one day training programmes. With lengthy consultation and involvement of specialists in the field of training and health and safety we are proud to present our training package to you. We are confident that our courses will not only give the learner the necessary knowledge to confidently pursue or work in the field of Health and Safety but our course packages and breakdown ensures that the successful learner will be able to implement their skills and knowledge once completing the necessary life skills with us. Through our much emphasized workplace integration which forms part of the Notional hours and formative assessment we are able to ensure that the learning through the course is holistic and grounded which will enable the learner to comfortably progress from classroom to workplace. LEARNERSHIPS The Learnership is a full year programme which includes the placement of the Learner on a Site for a period of the training once each life skill is completed in the classroom. This means that through the year the learner will be engaging in the classroom and on a worksite should they not be gainfully employed. CAREER PATH TRAINING / LIFE SKILLS PROGRAMMES Our career path orientated Health and Safety Life Skills Programme is the inclusion of all 3 Life Skills where we are able to develop the learner in the field of Health and Safety. We encourage persons who attend this full programme to be employed in the field of Health and Safety or identified for a career move in an organization as our programme and assessments are based on Workplace integration. ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS Our one day workshops are aligned to the accredited packages but are not assessed. We believe in the value of assessments and although understand that some people would just prefer to acquire the necessary knowledge or top-up their current knowledge we do not endorse certificates of completion or competency in these one day information knowledge based workshops.
3 PUBLIC COURSES / STAND-ALONE ACCREDITED COURSES These can be requested on their own however we have a maximum of 10 persons. These accredited courses will have a formal summative assessment, will include a Portfolio of Evidence. Before we declare competency we believe in ensuring that our learners can confidently match their claim to be competent in each area of skills and knowledge.
