Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the exhibition will educate visitors on how their skills and qualifications are best suited for different professions in the public and private sectors through three days of conferences, interviews and an insight into new employment opportunities. It is encouraging to see more and more international and private companies get involved with the show in order to tap into the growing potential of the Emirati workforce and support the national Emiratisation agenda. Now, more than ever, UAE nationals who are seeking jobs are being driven by different motives, looking for opportunities and ways to excel in new industries and lines of business. 6 Emiratisation is a key strategy for CBD Believes in attracting, training and developing nationals Central Bank of the UAE to hold on-thespot interviews Will showcase vacancies for experienced and fresh Emirati graduates Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), as a leading financial institution, believes in the importance of attracting, training and developing national citizens. Emiratisation is a key strategy for CBD. In fact, as part of its efforts to support Emiratisation and attract national graduates to join the banking sector, CBD had launched management trainee programme Tumoo7 last year. Gareth Powell, Chief Human Resources Officer, CBD, says, Our participation in recruitment exhibitions is part of our commitment to directly communicate with national graduates in universities, colleges and institutes with majors in accounting, economics, human resources, business administration or science, who are interested in working in banking. 7 DGHR for investment in citizens Dubai Government Human Resources Department is responsible for improving government system and making people happy As per the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Government Human Resources Department was established to improve government performance in Dubai and enhance the efficiency of its operations and results. His Highness issued the Human Resources Management Law of the Government of Dubai No. (27) for the year 2006 and its amendments, which represented a legislative framework for reference to many local and regional experiences in the human resources sector. His Highness emphasized his concern about the human element and its influential role in the development of government performance and public services by issuing Law No. (31) of 2009 establishing The Dubai Government Human Resources Department. The law defines the role, functions and responsibilities of The Dubai Government Human Resources Department in enlightening and establishing awareness and knowledge of modern human resources management systems and applications. The Department is also carrying the operational side of a set of central systems and applications that ensure consistency and harmony among the components of the public sector, which constitute a basis for institutional harmony, and an enhanced source of common values and a key building block in a unified and integrated government structure. The Dubai Government Human Resources Department also has a developmental and advisory role, which is reflected through the enhancement of knowledge and its participation with government sector institutions, capacity building, the establishment of a learning environment in the government sector, the development and implementation of quality Emiratisation plans and programmes and help build and develop skills of citizens. Apart from these, the Department also has a regulatory and organisational role in rational management of resources to ensure economic efficiency in the management of human resources operations within the government sector in Dubai. The Department is keen to adopt an innovative approach in promoting optimal investment in the citizens, which is the pillar of sustainable development and comprehensive renaissance in the UAE. The Department is responsible for mobilizing human resources, improving the governmental system and making people happy.
