3 Our Technology Our Technology At the heart of our traffic control devices is a patented, anti-twist reactive spring system our exclusive impact recovery device. Reactive Spring System This unique, compression spring assembly offers the strength to support a flexible post and an information panel as well. This reactive spring is designed to consistently return the post and panel to its original position after impact, time and time again. Anti-twist Our exclusive spring system provides an anti-twist feature designed to re-orient the panel toward traffic after impact. This spring system is compatible with our full line of bases. This IRS spring system is the only product line on the market today that utilizes a mechanical device; essentially increasing product durability. Virtually every other flexible traffic control device relies on the memory of the plastic to provide its durability and performance. Testing / Benefits Extensive testing has been performed on our spring system and its component parts to ensure that our products maintain durability and functionality, impact after impact. Our product line has received approvals from the Federal Highway Administration by exceeding safety standard NCHRP-350; and more recently tested by Texas Transportation Institute and acceptance using MASH 2009 standard. 4 Pedestrian Safety ATSSA Innovation Award 1st Place Recipient In-Street Pedestrian Crosswalk Sign The In-Street Pedestrian Sign provides enhanced conspicuity for un-signalized intersections, in order to alert motorists to local laws concerning yielding to, or stopping for pedestrians in crosswalks. The effectiveness of this unit has been repeatedly supported by independent testing to demonstrate distinct changes in motorist behavior and accident incidence following installation. The In-Street Pedestrian Sign is ideal for mid-block crosswalk identification. Omni-Ped Omni-Ped provides enhanced conspicuity for un-signalized intersections, in order to alert motorists to local laws concerning yielding to or stopping for pedestrians in crosswalks. Omni-Ped s blow-molded, 4-sided design is more durable than standard in-street signs, and provides added benefit to pedestrians by providing fully customizable side panels that inform pedestrians of local ordinances or traffic conditions specific to their area. Omni-Ped also alerts distracted pedestrians to the presence of vehicular traffic that could otherwise go unnoticed. Ped-in-a-Bag Designed for use by school crossing guards who require a pedestrian safety device that is easily transported and deployed. This sign s lightweight design (26 lbs- sign and base), and quick release system-that allows the sign to be removed from the base in less than five seconds, makes this unit ideal for use in school zones. This sign is easily transported via the included carrying bag. Ped-in-a-Bag is recommended for temporary/hourly use only. It is not designed to be a replacement for our traditional pedestrian signs. 5 Posts Sta-Rite Aluminum Sign Post This highly durable, yet light weight, white powder coated aluminum post prevents warping and remains straight, even in harsh summer and winter conditions. This sign post is available with an outer yellow bollard (optional) constructed of durable plastic which simulates a formidable concrete barrier for added conspicuity. This post can be customized to your specifications and is designed to withstand bumper hits and return to its original position. Tuff Post Tuff Post is a high performance channelizer designed to meet the harsh demands of high speed, high traffic areas. Tuff Post has been tested to sustain 50 impacts at 55 mph with little damage to the unit or vehicle, while remaining upright with no vertical or horizontal listing. Tuff Post has 360 impactability and is ideal for exit lane delineation, head-to-head traffic separation, urban turn restrictions, or edge line delineation. Tuff Curb Tuff Curb system is a durable, high performance traffic separator curb compatible with our full line of posts and panels. It is highly visible and resistant to UV damage and fading. Enhanced profile dimensional properties and 3M reflectors provide maximum visibility and traffic separation both day and night. Tuff Curb is lightweight and easy to install, with only two connection points to the pavement, resulting in reduced labor and enhanced installation times. Colors available: White & Yellow. XLP s bright coloring and glass-element technology reflectors supply maximum visibility both day and night. Thousands of people opt to take a bike to work or other destinations every day, and providing a safe commute for those on two wheels is just as important as for those on four. Proper bike lane signs, whether standard or custom, are essential to keep both drivers and cyclists safe. Impact Recovery Systems, complete bike lane system is the perfect solution. Posts: Our Bike Lane markers utilize our proven reactive spring assembly; interchangable with all Impact Recovery Systems bases, including our high-performance Tuff Curb XLP. Posts are reboundable from any direction, providing low maintenance and replacement costs. The Highly reflective sheeting strips provide 360 of reflectivity. 8 Bases Fixed Base Fixed bases are surface mounted bases designed for permanent applications that require uprights to be secured with bolts. This base works with Impact Recovery Systems full line of uprights and can be installed using our anchor kit or epoxy. IRS fixed bases are also available with our quick release feature that provides the ability to change out or remove uprights in less than five seconds, without the use of tools or special equipment. To remove an upright, simply pull the keeper pin, rotate the upright 15, lift and remove. Available in 3 colors One Base One Base eliminates the need for multiple specialty bases with its ability to be utilized with Impact Recovery Systems full line of panels and signage. Utilizing the same base for all devices benefits agencies by reducing their base inventories. One Base s portable design and ergonomic carrying handle make it ideal for rapid deployment of temporary signage. One Base is made of 100% recycled rubber and comes standard with Impact Recovery Systems revolutionary quick release feature that allows upright installation and removal in less than 5 seconds. Recessed Base IRS Recessed bases are created to be embedded into the pavement and are designed to be snow-plowable. Uprights may utilize either a quick release or standard upright installation. The base is constructed of forged steel and is available in high or low profile. Driveable Base (square) Socket Base (round) Driveable/Socket Base These bases are a soil mount base designed for off road soil installations. They are not interchangeable with standard Impact Recovery Systems uprights, as they require a special driveable spring assembly. The driveable/in-ground base is squared and is compatible with standard 2 12-gauge Telespar punched square tubing. 9 Work Zone Vertical Panels Vertical Panels may be used to channelize traffic, divide opposing lanes of traffic, separate traffic lanes, for lane closures, or in place of barricades where space is limited. They are ideal for use in work zones where changes in road alignment or lane shifts can create motorist confusion. Impact Recovery Systems vertical panels also provide high target value. Panels are available in single or double sided configurations and are compatible with type A or C warning lights. Opposing Traffic Lane Dividers Opposing Traffic Lane Dividers are delineation systems used in work zones where traffic flow changes may become confusing for motorists. These dividers are used at centerline to separate opposing traffic on two-lane, two way operations, and may be used in combination with the Impact Recovery Systems Tuff Posts vertical panels and delineators. Tubular Markers Tubular Markers may be used effectively to divide opposing lanes of traffic, divide traffic when two or more lanes are kept open in the same direction, channelize traffic in exit only applications, for urban turn restrictions, for indicating changes of alignment in the roadway and to delineate edge of pavement drop off where space limitations do not allow the use of larger systems. Tubular Markers may also be used in parking garages, parking lots and special event facilities. Chevron Panels Chevron Panels may be used as an alternative or supplement to standard delineators and to large arrow signs. The chevron signs are intended to be used to give notice of a sharp change of alignment in the direction of traffic. 10 Permanent / Markers Hazard Markers Hazard Markers are ideal for marking obstructions within or adjacent to the roadway. They are perfect for high water crossings, at grade railroad crossings, as well as protecting guardrail and bridge approaches. Hazard Markers are available in single or double sided versions. Sergeant Stripes Sergeant Stripes are used in lieu of Type III object markers in any area where traffic is directed around two sides of an object. Sergeant Stripes are ideal for marking island Right (placed on the right-hand side of the road; directs traffic to the left) Left (placed on the left-hand side of the road; directs traffic to the right) Object Markers Type II Object Markers may be used on island approach noses to indicate the presence of a raised curb, an obstruction, or anywhere that a Type II is appropriate. Guardrail Delineators Guardrail delineators are highly visible, reflective markers that are mounted directly on the guardrail post. These delineators are designed to provide uniform and consistent delineation of the guardrail and enhance visibility of the road both day and night. LIMITED WARRANTY This product has been manufactured and tested to the highest quality standards by Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. This Limited Warranty covers defects in material or workmanship in new Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. products. This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Only users purchasing Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. products from Impact Recovery Systems, Inc., its authorized distributors or resellers, or through Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. authorized websites may obtain coverage under this Limited Warranty. What is covered? Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship as follows: Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. will replace at no charge any product or part of the product or, at its option, replace parts only for any product that proves defective because of improper workmanship and/or material, under normal installation, use, service and maintenance. If Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. is unable to provide a replacement and repair is not practical or cannot be made in a timely fashion, Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. may elect to refund the purchase price in exchange for the return of the product. How Long Does The Coverage Last? Our warranty periods are one and five years from the documented date of purchase, depending on the type of product as follows: Five Years, Pro-Rated after Year One: Tuff Curb XLP One Year: All other products What Our Warranty Does Not Cover? Our warranties do not cover any problems that are caused by: 1. Conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship. 2. Conditions, malfunctions or damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper installation, improper maintenance, misuse, abuse, negligence, accident or alteration. 3. Conditions, malfunctions or damage resulting from the addition, incorporation, and use and association with any accessory or product not manufactured by Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. Our limited warranties are void if a product is returned with removed, damaged or tampered labels or any alterations (including removal of any component). How to File a Claim? Impact Recovery Systems, Inc. will not provide any warranty coverage unless claims are made in compliance with all terms of the controlling warranty statement included with your product and you follow proper return procedure. To request warranty service, you will need to provide the following to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number: 1. The Purchase Order Number or other evidence of the date and place of purchase. 2. A description of the defect or non-conformity, in writing within thirty (30) days of the discovery 3. Exclusive venue for resolution of any dispute between the parties related to the sale of such products shall be in Bexar County, Texas.
