5 2.Approved PPP- EEC Fast Track without Reducing Steps 5
6 3.Investment in 10 targeted industries in EEC has been progressed BOI investment value In the first 5 months of 2017, approximately 23,400 million Baht was requested to promote the investment in EEC by which 14,200 million Baht is for 10 targeted industries. Measures to support the automotive, bio-economy and robotic industry Declared 1,466 Rai in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong province of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) as industrial promotion zone for targeted robotic industries. Collaboration with IEAT Focus on utilizing the area of IEAT and the rest of private industrial estates about 12,000 rai and another 20,000 rai which is waiting for the establishment of industrial estates. Coordinate with various industrial estates on the remaining land to designated as the next industrial promotion zone. 6
7 Companies show interest in investing with EEC Follow up and negotiating with investors Studying details of investment project. Investment measures are completed Invested Investment in 160 projects has been promoted in EEC areas. *Information as for Aug 23, 2017 from BOI Under study and detailed analysis of investment projects with investors. Expected to sign an MOU in March Under final negotiation BOI promoted investment in HEV - Collaborate with Ministry of Digital Economy and Society to promote the investment in EEC digital park. Expected to sign an MOU in September In the process of implementing measures to promote the use of electric cars. 7

9 Progress on Promoting Tourism Deputy Ministry of Tourism and Sports as Chairman of Subcommittee Chacheongsao Chacheongsao Chonburi Chonburi Rayong Assigned Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) as main department in studying the logistics system and the routes of public transport within 3 EEC provinces. Coordinate relevant agencies to develop guidelines for tourism development in the area, including project details or action plan for developing and promoting tourism and a proposal for funding plans to support the Action Plan to complete within 1 month Rayong Create a list of important projects that need to be completed urgently as the main project. 9

Set the level of development to 3 levels: basic education, vocational and undergraduate level and above. Framing the work plan and assigning the relevant agencies to elaborate proposals, projects, personnel development, education, research and technology in applying modern human development approaches. 11

Progress of New City Development Chaired by Director General of Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning Development concept : Smart City: Cities that use digital technology to adapt to the city. Daily life more convenient. Next: 1. Verify land ownership in the EEC area. 2. Estimate increase population growth from EEC 3. Find new metropolitan areas from standard criteria based on smart city concept. Low Carbon Society (LCS) collaborative society that reduces the emissions of CO2 from everyday life and industry. Smart Growth designed to be a compact city, with integrated land use, and people can walk and use the bike 4. Find a way to control land use around new urban areas. 5. Inspect the area that will be promoted as industrial zone. 6. Consider the new urban development mechanism and support measures. 7. Analyze to determine the appropriate area.
