And they all have one thing in common: intelligence. While everyone today talks about intelligence, at MYDATA we call our feeders intelligent because all our magazines and feeders have their own unique identity. This enables the machine software, TPSys, to automatically recognize the presence, absence and location of components. The end result is that you never have to program pick positions and can easily replenish feeders while the machine is mounting. If a feeder runs out of components, production doesn t stop. Instead, the machine alerts the operator, re-optimizes and continues mounting other components. Plus, with the dedicated barcode system, you can achieve higher levels of quality and intelligence. The system provides easy tracking of component and inventory data, such as batch ID numbers and quantity levels. And because barcode scanning eliminates manual entry during loading and unloading, setups and changeovers are even faster. 4 Tape Revolutionary tape feeders With award-winning intelligent tape feeders like Agilis, you can cut loading and unloading times to a fraction of the loading-time for conventional feeders. Our entire feeder system is so flexible that you can mix and match single feeders, or replace all your feeders at once depending on how you work. But regardless of which feeders you choose, you can count on intelligent functions that enhance your productivity and ensure quality. AGILIS A revolution in design - for maximum flexibility and productivity Due to Agilis' unique design, changeover and setup times can be significantly reduced. The small cover-tape separator on the pen-sized feeder exposes components for easy picking. It's extremely fast to load and unload because there are no take-up reels. This also makes it easy to handle short tape clips. Preloaded Agilis feeders can even be stored along with tape reels, ready to go for the next job. With a barcode reader, component reels can be easily connected to a specific feeder, ensuring fast handling and traceability. In addition, based on each feeder s unique identity, the machine automatically detects its location. That way, feeders can be rearranged and placed in any position in the machine, even during operation. The new Agilis magazine gives you true plug-and-play simplicity. Each component and pick position is automatically located and fine-tuning, in both the x and y directions, is also possible with the help of a joystick. The magazine has a linear motion mechanism, which gives smoother, faster and more controlled acceleration and deceleration. Agilis is a complete system that consists of feeders, bins and magazines. The Agilis LM1216 magazine holds up to eight feeders for 12 or 16 mm tapes. To give you full production flexibility, the feeders can be mixed freely in the magazine. The Agilis LM8 magazine takes up to 16 feeders for 8 mm tapes. 5 Tape TM-Series For a wide range of tape sizes The TM-Series features a wide range of tape magazines with different configurations of fixed feeders, depending on the tape width. With its basic design and established track record, the TM-Series is the reliable feeder for most standard tape sizes. The TM-Series is especially well- suited for wider tapes and tapes with deep pockets. A total of up to 16 pieces of 8 mm tapes can be loaded in each magazine. TM Flex Total flexibility to mix single- and multi-feeders in a magazine The TM Flex Magazine enables you to configure a wide variety of single- or multi-feeders in one magazine. The feeders can easily be removed to set up the magazine for new jobs, enabling cost-effective flexibility while reducing overall magazine inventory. It s the ideal solution for handling those extra tape sizes, in addition to the tapes used in the TM-Series or Agilis magazines. The TM Flex series comprises a wide range of Flex Feeders and magazines that hold up to 13 feeders. Tape Clip Magazine Elegantly handle short tape-clips Minimize production costs by using the Tape Clip Magazine to handle those short tape-clips. With its width adjustment capability, different combinations of tape sizes can be fitted alongside each other in the magazine. The Tape Clip Magazine is available in two sizes, with a maximum capacity of 5 and 11 pieces of 8 mm tape, respectively.

6 Tray Tray solutions for every volume MYDATA s feeding solutions for matrix tray components are cost-efficient, since optimized solutions are available for all production volumes. In addition, to further heighten your productivity, we offer smart functions for component management and replenishment. Flexible Tray Holder For small tray volumes The Flexible Tray Holder is an effective unit for handling single-matrix trays. Four magnetic corner holders and four under-tray supports can fixate trays of any size. There are no adjustments to be made and no tools required. Simply position a tray with the holders, teach the machine software its location and start mounting. TWM For average tray volumes The Tray Wagon Magazine (TWM) provides matrix tray capability for use when limited quantities of trays are required. The magazine is fitted in the machine s ordinary magazine slot in the same manner as tape and stick magazines. The matrix trays are placed on a servo-controlled tray table that positions the components on the tray in the pick-up position. The tray table is interchangeable with the other available sizes from the smaller single module (occupies one magazine slot in the machine) up to the largest (occupies three magazine slots). TEX Sophisticated tray management for large volumes With its 32 JEDEC matrix tray capacity, dual-track design and series of intelligent functions, the Tray Exchanger (TEX) is the ideal solution for matrix tray management. The dual-track design allows the MYDATA placement machine to pick from one track while the other is being changed. An empty-tray warning function and a built-in barcode system enable tray recognition. This eliminates additional programming when trays are replenished. To protect delicate components, tray accelerations are also controllable. If your production needs change, you can easily remove the TEX and retrofit it in any position in the machine. And, since the TEX uses only two magazine positions, it s possible to have several TEXs on one machine. To utilize the dualtrack functionality, the TEX can be equipped with two cassettes with narrow tray pallets. However, for handling of larger trays, it is also available with a wide pallets cassette.

7 Accessories and Customized Solutions Get the most out of your machine In this brochure, you ll find MYDATA s range of standard feeders. However, should you have special feeder requirements, we can help build a solution to fit your application. For instance, we can make alterations to magazines or tube-forks. What s more, our range of accessories is designed to help you to get more out of your feeders and equipment. GFI The Generic Feeder Interface (GFI) is just one way that MYDATA can provide a customized solution. The GFI enables you to connect and run various special applications as well as third-party feeders from the magazine slot in a MYDATA machine. More information about this possibility is provided upon request. Agilis bins Increase your flexibility and efficiency by keeping preloaded feeders on hand, in additional Agilis bins. The bins are available in two versions: 7 reels and 13 reels, each hold 8 reels. Large-reel attachment The optional large-reel attachment extends your feeding capability of 13 tape reels, with widths ranging from 8 mm to 56 mm. Available for Agilis and the TM-Series and TM-Flex. Stick positioning A variety of positioners are available to suit standard and non-standard components. A positioner fixates a stick in the stick magazine and positions the component in the pick-up position. MYDATA can also custom-design positioners upon request for odd and unusual components. Tray handling Additional pallets and pallet cassettes for the TEX allow for quicker matrix tray replenishment. Available in both narrow and wide sizes. The tray capability of the TWM can easily be increased or reduced according to your production demands by altering the TWM Table size. MYDATA offers three sizes featuring 2, 5 and 7 JEDEC trays respectively (with 500T2 Inline solution: 1, 4 and 5 trays, respectively).

In addition, setups and changeovers can be accomplished quickly and easily, eliminating bottlenecks as production switches from one type of job to another. All of which helps maximize productivity and profit potential. Agilis Stick Magazine For improved high mix productivity and profitability With the Agilis Stick Magazine, ASM, you can benefit from the accuracy, speed and flexibility of the award-winning MYDATA Agilis system. Unlike stick feeders that rapidly vibrate up-and-down to feed components, the ASM utilizes a high precision, short stroke linear drive with a servocontrolled, horizontal motion. This highly reliable feeding process significantly reduces time and money spent on operator assists and component waste. Because the ASM handles a very wide range of SMT components from the smallest TSSOP to large PLCC s and high connectors you will always be prepared for any job. Removable stick pallets with a built-in pallet ID and barcode system allow you to replenish and pre-load pallets, as well as prepare data before pallets are loaded into the magazine. Feeding is automatically calculated based on component data that s entered prior to loading. Pick-up positions are automatically localized and trimmed as well. So the time it takes for set-up and changeovers with other stick feeder systems is eliminated. Simply plug in and go. VMF 30 The versatile vibratory magazine Enables flexible setups and changeovers by holding a variety of stick sizes in one magazine. VMF is capable of handling stick sizes up to 15x44 mm (hxw) and can be changed even while the machine is in operation. Sticks are mounted in one of the three lanes in the magazine and components are fastened in place in their pick-up positions by a range of tubeforks. Vibration time, frequency and amplitude are set in the system software for each individual lane and control component advancement to the pick position.
