1 Automated Connected - Mobile Status of the National Action Plan Automated Driving
2 Productivity gains: for Vienna about 100 Mio. hours per year! Accessibility: 100%! Value creation: +30% Individual mobility costs: -50% in comparison to ownership; 0,1 /km! Traffic safety: - 70 up to-95% less accidents Impacts Waiting times: Zero seamless connection Eco-efficiency: +20% Fuel Efficiency Costs for public transport: - 20% Traffic flow: -70% congestion; +500% capacity! Use of space: - 60% less parking spaces needed Source: World Economic Forum, OECD-ITF, Frauenhofer
3 Consumer Acceptance: do we still want to own cars individually in the future? OEMs say yes: Toyota is investing $1 billion in artificial intelligence research for autonomous vehicles, but is betting that individually owned cars will continue to dominate the market. If services like Uber and Lyft use autonomous vehicles, their prices should drop by more than two-thirds to 75% to around 25 or even 15 cents per mile. Autonomous cars operating in a rideshare mode are likely to provide the cheapest per mile transportation ever known to man. Policy remains as the last major hurdle. Government has a relatively poor track record of managing innovation in the auto sector. Policy is often slow, frequently redundant and rarely straightforward. Public Transport. Already there! Automated Subways, People Movers, THE future backbone of a shared mobility perspective The good news is, we ve entered into a period now where there s a new DNA: electrical drive with electric motors, diverse energy sources, electronic and digital controls, connected, human coordinated, shared, driverless and tailored.
4 More than one paradigm shift. automated Connected electric service based shared sustainable and market-oriented!!??
