3 Unknown to some, William Smith has been a leading trade manufacturer to the sign and graphic industry for years, producing a broad range of signage, digitally printed graphics and cut text and logos. In addition, the company also offers a large variety of sign components, most of which are available ex-stock and usually delivered within 24hrs of ordering. 5 Signage Having produced signage for nearly 100 years, William Smith has developed a great reputation for delivering quality signs with some of the quickest lead times in the industry. Helpful and knowledgeable staff will always be on hand to make sure all projects are dealt with smoothly and efficiently, no matter how large or small the task in hand. Traffic Signs - CE Marked Any permanent sign directing traffic, as listed in the TSRGD 2002 handbook, must now be manufactured with a CE mark. If the sign does not have this mark it will be deemed illegal. As William Smith has attained the main British/European Standard (BS EN :2007), which must be achieved in order to manufacture these signs with the CE Mark, you can be assured that any permanent road traffic sign purchased from us will be CE compliant; the CE mark being clearly visible on the reverse of all finished signs. 5

6 Sign Blanks If you need the convenience of ready-made sign blanks, they can be ordered from William Smith. Available in aluminium, composite and steel, with or without channel, every sign blank is made to order and dispatched within two days. 7 Noticeboards Non-illuminated noticeboards with hinged and lockable doors are available in aluminium extrusion. The units have locks and a concealed hinge system for added strength, plus they can be wall or post mounted. They are ideal for internal or external applications. 8 Tray Signs A tray sign is one of the mainstays of the signage industry. They are used in many situations, being particularly impressive for internal and external signage, giving a 3D-like effect. They can be purchased in aluminium and composite, with sizes of up to 2800mm x 1350mm (50mm return edges) available in one piece. Larger tray signs can be made up by using multiple panels. 12 Bespoke Signs Following a recent investment in machinery, William Smith is in a stronger position to provide you with a more comprehensive bespoke sign service. Just tell us your requirements and we will provide information about what product options are available to you. Any bespoke sign can be made from a wide variety of materials including aluminium, composite, steel, foamex, correx and banner material. If you need to use another product then please advise us. 15 Letters and Logos Any pre-spaced vinyl cut letters and logos can be produced at speed with many of those orders dispatched on the same day. Large contractual and overflow work is delivered by three of the latest Zund plotters which can handle high volumes and any fonts or logo designs. A large selection of vinyls and colours are available on site to speed up production. 15

17 Digital Print Producing large format digital print to the trade has been a part of our business for over 25 years so, whatever your requirement, big or small, we have the knowledge, capacity and high level of service to deliver on time. Images produced using HP Latex printers do not require as much drying time; therefore, projects can be dealt with quicker without any compromise on quality. 17
