This addendum forms part of the Proposal Documents and amends the original Proposal Documents as noted below:.1 THE CLOSING DATE HAS CHANGED - FROM: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4 TH, 2:00 P.M. THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) DOCUMENT ARE AFFECTED BY THE ABOVE CHANGE: INSTRUCTIONS TO PROPONENTS PAGE 1 PROPOSAL FORM APPENDIX A DOCUMENT The Proponent shall note in the Proposal Form the number of addenda received during the Proposal period, to acknowledge that the contents form part of its Proposal. FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY: The following correspondence and questions have been received by the Commission in relation to the RFP along with their respective answers: Question(s): Due to changes in the metals market, is a Proponent allowed to include a note that cable & conduit items will be based on market conditions at the time of ordering? Refer to Instructions to Proponents Section 6 Proposal Evaluation and Acceptance (6.2 and 6.3) and Section 9 Alternatives. Can generic brands be quoted for some of the manufacturers listed? Are alternates (i.e. Sylvania = Philips) acceptable? Refer to Instructions to Proponents Section 9 Alternatives. What schedule of items and quantities are needed? Refer to Supplementary Instructions to Proponents Section 2 Proposal Pricing (2.4), Terms of Reference Section 1 Scope of Work. In addition, refer to Proposal Form Appendix B and C Percentage discount (%) off Manufacturer s Trade Price, Appendix B (5) and Appendix C (5). Question(s): Hammond (Appendix B - #18) is two different companies; one sells enclosures and the other transformers. Both these companies have separate price list with different price structures. Enclosures have a greater discount than the transformers. Is it possible for Proponents to provide different discounts for the sub titles? Cutler Hammer has many different price lists, if distributors are required to provide a blended percentage discount; it is a disadvantage for TTC, many different price structures with different discounts. Possible to give discounts on the sub titles for Cutler? Ferraz Shawmut - there is a big difference between the contactors, semi conductor fuses, and all others. Possible to give discounts on the sub titles? Philips Wire Teck cable and T90 s have different price cards with different pricing levels. Possible to give discounts on the sub titles? Most suppliers don t have access to all 36 manufacturers on the list you provided. No. Refer to Supplementary Instructions to Proponents Section 2 Proposal Pricing (2.4), Proposal Form Appendix B (6) and Proposal Form Appendix C (5). TITLE PAGE NO. 1 PURPOSE PROPOSAL SUBMISSION PROPOSAL INQUIRIES LOBBYING ADDENDA PROPOSAL EVALUATION AND ACCEPTANCE WORK PERFORMANCE MUNICIPAL FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY ACT ALTERNATIVES... 2 INSTRUCTIONS TO PROPONENTS 1 Purpose - The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has a requirement for the services as outlined in the Terms of Reference herein. 2 Proposal Submission - The Proponent shall complete the Proposal Form including the Proposal Form Price Schedule(s) and submit it in a sealed envelope with the label included as Appendix A affixed to the front of the envelope. The Proponent shall not show its name on this envelope. The Proponent shall be responsible for ensuring it reviews and understands the Instructions to Proponents, Supplementary Instructions to Proponents, General Conditions, applicable Supplementary Conditions and Terms of Reference, which form this Request for Proposal (RFP). Sealed Proposals addressed as follows, will be received by the TTC at the 1 st Floor Reception Desk until 2:00 p.m. Toronto time on MONDAY, FEBRUARY : ATTENTION: HEAD COMMISSION SERVICES DEPT. Any Proposal received late according to the Commission s clock will not be considered and will be returned to the respective Proponent. Faxed Proposals will not be considered. The Proponent is solely responsible to ensure that the Proposal submission is delivered to the address indicated above. The TTC will not be responsible to redirect any submissions delivered in error to any other of the Commission's properties Proposal Results - Proposals are not publicly opened and until the Contract award, only the names of the Proponents will be available on the Materials & Procurement website at under 'Business with the TTC'. Following the Contract award, the name(s) of the successful Proponent(s) along with award value(s) will be available at 3 Proposal Inquiries - All inquiries or requests for information during the Proposal period shall without exceptions, be directed to the Buyer by at carrie.wong@ttc.ca or Fax No. (416) or Phone No. (416) The Commission will only ensure responses to inquiries received at least one week prior to the Proposal closing.
