16 Ashland: Latest development PET Resin Developments in resin chemistry have historically enable the production of composite parts which are stronger, lighter and have lower overall unit costs Environment, cost and properties are key elements to be considered for the production of unsaturated polyester resins synthesized from the glycolisys of PET. Ashland has dedicated considerable amount of research to develop a family of UPR resins containing post-consumer and/or post-industrial PET which is already available for a number of applications 16
