6 Waupaca Foundry, Inc. Returnable Policy The following items will be put into effect to insure our customers are getting credit for returning dunnage and keeping costs contained. 1. All Waupaca Foundry, Inc. provided reusable dunnage shall be returned to the plant of origin. 2. All dividers and skids to be separated in uniform stacks. Skids 15 high stack or 10 high depending on trailer height Dividers 50 high stack / stacks of dividers should be double stacked in the trailer. 3. Collars and skids to be shipped back in the same manner as they were received. Policies 4 through 12 must be adhered to. 4. All stacks to be uniform, banded or shrink wrapped. Waupaca Foundry could suggest stacking process, if necessary. Band once in each direction or secured for transport. 5. Wood should not be stored outside or shipped to Waupaca Foundry wet. This will help prevent rust forming on castings that use this dunnage for future shipments to our customers. Plywood being returned is checked with a moisture meter. The amount of moisture allowed is 10%. Any wood over 10% will be sent out to be dried at a cost of $2.00 per board. This cost will be deducted from the credit amount due for the returned dunnage. An notification will be sent to the customer to adjust their debit for the return. Continued > 6
7 Waupaca Foundry, Inc. Returnable Policy Continued The following items will be put into effect to insure our customers are getting credit for returning dunnage and keeping costs contained. 6. should not be accumulated and shipped back in more than one truckload at a time. This will help to maintain necessary inventory levels throughout the year. 7. No cardboard, garbage, desiccant, plastic bags, air bags, oil or metal chips inside any returnable dunnage will be acceptable. 8. Broken dunnage will not be accepted. 9. Non-Waupaca Foundry dunnage will not be accepted. 10. No dunnage will be received freight collect. The freight is to be paid by the sender. Continued > 7
8 Waupaca Foundry, Inc. Returnable Policy Continued The following items will be put into effect to insure our customers are getting credit for returning dunnage and keeping costs contained. 11. Packing slips that accompany each shipment must include a detailed listing of all dunnage by type with a piece count plus the carrier name and trailer number. 12. All returned packaging material that is determined to be foreign will be managed as such: Full loads of foreign material may be rejected at the Waupaca dock and returned to the customer. Larger volumes of foreign wood (i.e. value exceeding $500) may be saved*. Photos will be taken and sent to the customer; customer will then have 14 days to provide disposition of the material. After 14 days all foreign wood will be disposed of. Smaller quantities of foreign wood (i.e. value less than $500) will be disposed of immediately and deducted from credit. * Costs associated with sorting and/or disposing of any foreign wood may be deducted from credit due. Continued > 8
9 Waupaca Foundry, Inc. Returnable Policy Continued The following items will be put into effect to insure our customers are getting credit for returning dunnage and keeping costs contained. In the event that Waupaca Foundry is utilizing customer owned and supplied dunnage, it is very beneficial to have an alternative dunnage approved for use by the customer in the event of a shortage of customer supplied dunnage. This helps to insure Waupaca Foundry can produce castings to meet the requested due dates from our customers. Alternative dunnage is set up to be used only when customer supplied dunnage is not available. Waupaca Foundry is not in a position to contact the customer for prior approval to use alternative dunnage with each occurrence when customer supplied dunnage is not available. Therefore, once alternative dunnage is approved and set up in the Waupaca Foundry customer profile, it will remain in effect until Waupaca Foundry is instructed in writing to make a change. Should you have questions about Waupaca Foundry dunnage in general, please contact Jane Avery, Waupaca Foundry Pricing Analyst at or via at jane.avery@waupacafoundry.com. 9
