After completion of detailed engineering design (DED), the PPMUs are focusing on procurement and construction of civil works packages. All the WS and WW subprojects have mobilized construction supervision consultants (CSC). Among the 25 works packages for seven WS subprojects, 20 packages are under construction, two packages are to complete bidding in July 2014, and three packages are to be bid out. Among the 27 works packages for seven WW subprojects, one package completed construction, 11 are under construction, nine packages are to complete bidding in July 2014, and six packages are to be bid out. 2 For the TA Component 2A, Project Monitoring and Institutional Strengthening, except for the TA package for operation improvement that needs to be bid out, MABUTIP has all the five individual and four firm consultants on board to support its project monitoring and institutional strengthening activities. For TA component 2B, Improving Efficiency of Investment and Operation, both P04 and P05 consultants are now well into their assignments with MPI. The P04 consultants are working on: (i) Task 1: review current regulations, development planning in water sector, and models for wastewater tariffs; (ii) Task 2: Circular on wastewater tariffs; (iii) Task 3: Circular on operational improvement and investment (water and sanitation); and (iv) Task 4: MPI s study tour. For P05, the consultants has completed five of the six tasks and are now working on the Task 6 of Detailed Term Sheet for the Pilot PPP the first draft will be submitted to MPI by the end of July.
