1 Richmond SHRM Board Goals for Professional Advancement Goals: Deliver current, relevant, high quality and engaging HR learning events and resources which contribute to the professional development and growth of the chapter. Programming includes Strategic Leadership Conference, Monthly Chapter Meetings, COIN networking (jam sessions), Online Learning Events and additional learning opportunities like certification test study groups. Strategic Leadership Conference in October: Increase attendance and conference profitability by 10% each. We aim to achieve this by delivering conference programing that includes both strategic and practical HR breakout session options. Sessions to qualify for SHRM PDCs and HRCI general and strategic credits. We will reduce Keynote speaker costs through the use of less expensive speakers. We will solicit attendee feedback with a target result of 80% or better positive results for speaker and program topics. Monthly (Almost) Learning Events: Plan monthly learning events topics that are timely, relevant and inclusive of all areas of HR with an additional eye to attracting new members who may be engaged in HR related activities, but might not currently be HR professionals. Events will qualify for SHRM PDCs and HRCI credits. Increase attendance and member engagement at the learning events. Success measured by event attendance and attendee feedback with a target result of 80% or better positive results for speaker and program topics and attendee experience. Collaborative and Online Learning: Further develop the COIN networking (jam sessions) and online learning opportunities to provide alternative learning and networking opportunities for our members. Assess and determine platform and model for RSHRM programming for online learning events to meet member learning needs. 1
