Lupus is an under-recognized chronic autoimmune disease that attacks any organ of the body and affects women, men and children. Lupus is also the disease of many faces. Because symptoms vary so widely, diagnosis is difficult and slow, taking up to 10 years. Delay in diagnosis can lead to permanent organ damage, disability and death. There is no cure.
