6 C1 가스 리파이너리 사업단 Production of chemicals, fuels and materials from C1 gas resources Biorefinery process is a promising route for bio-based products from renewable resources but will involve a coordinated effort from pretreatment of biomasses for fermentable sugars, microbial fermentation, and purification of bioproducts in chemical grade. Recently, C1 gas refinery gains much attention for the application of C1 gases including CO and CH4 as promising renewable resources for the production of valuable chemical products in bio, chemical and bio/chemical hybrid processes. In this symposium, we will discuss metabolic engineering strategies for the development of engineered microorganisms to produce chemicals, fuels, and materials from C1 gas resources.
