4 PROJECT M A N A G E M E N T S E R V I C E S PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES In our view, effective project management is an essential risk mitigation tool, and it is therefore extremely important that the Project Management Plan, which specifies how the project will be planned, executed, monitored and controlled, benefits from experienced practitioners. 6 RISK MANAGEMENT SERVICES RISK MANAGEMENT SERVICES Revay s project life-cycle risk management facilitates the predictable and repeatable delivery of successful projects. Uncertainty is inherent in all projects and for complex projects particularly, successful management of uncertainty is fundamental to project success. Revay provides the independent and credible risk management facility necessary for project teams to consistently manage uncertainty around achieving the project goals. At the conceptual phase, Revay works with the initiation team to identify the uncertainty around overall goals from the project environment and develop an implementation strategy matched to that environment. RISK MANAGEMENT 11 During the planning phase, Revay works with the core team to identify and quantify systemic and event-driven uncertainty within the project plan. This analysis results in a prediction of actual outcomes with acceptable reliability that forms the baseline for cost and duration control and a process for assigning responsibility and accountability for the management of individual risk. During the execution phase, Revay oversees independent risk management. This ensures the whole project team maintains a risk focused culture throughout project delivery. Uncertainty is reassessed at regular intervals and at key milestones. The resulting risk-based contingency management processes also provide an audit trail of project decisions and outcomes.
7 12 MANAGEMENT CONSULTING MANAGEMENT CONSULTING SERVICES Sharing its expertise is a hallmark of Revay and Associates Limited, and our clients are the first to benefit by receiving guidance and training on how to avoid problems on future projects. Revay also maintains a very active program of bringing construction industry information to a broader audience through the publication of the Revay Report. M A N A G E M E N T CONSULTING S E R V I C E S The firm s specialists are actively involved in giving lectures and seminars, presenting papers at industry functions, and preparing publications and articles for professional journals. They also dedicate time to participating in the activities of numerous national and local industry associations. Management consulting services include:» Surveys and studies;» Seminars and training;» Project post-mortems and lessons learned; and» Project audits.
8 PROFESSIONALS 15 PROFESSIONALS We are comprised of approximately sixty staff members, primarily of professional engineers, architects, senior technologists and other related professionals. The common denominator is that our professional staff are seasoned construction personnel, and collectively, have experience in various fields of civil, industrial, commercial and institutional construction. They have been drawn from sources as diverse as contractors, design firms and both public and private sector owners. When necessary, we supplement our resources from an established roster of experienced contract employees in order to add specific expertise. Our professionals frequently share their ideas and experience through the Revay Report, which can be found on our website, to educate the construction industry.
