11 HSRG Accessibility Request The HSRG requested $50,000 to fund two projects that would run through the HSRG to help improve the accessibility of Louisiana s crash data. 11

12 HSRG Accessibility Request Project 1 will focus on our three main websites ( Improve overall look and feel New graphics Consistency across all websites (colors, branding, navigation) Integration of all websites Make websites more professional looking Improve navigation Allow user to find requested information more easily User friendly/consistent navigation bars Search engine optimization Allow website data to be captured by search engines 12

13 HSRG Accessibility Request The second project will focus on GIS mapping for law enforcement agencies (LEAs) using our LACRASH software. The HSRG is developing a web portal for LEAs allowing them to log into a secure website and obtain aggregate crash data statistics. The HSRG asked for funding to help build the GIS portion of the portal allowing LEAs, using their given id and password, to easily create maps of their crashes based on selected criteria (dates, severity, alcohol, location, etc..). 13

19 Selling Crash Reports Online RFP awarded to Police Reports.US HSRG working with Police Reports.US to establish agreed upon technology to distribute crash reports to buyers HSRG will send LACRASH users a newsletter announcing Police Reports.US and related contact information 19

20 Data Integration COBRA and Convicted Traffic Violation Data Sent request to OMV to receive convicted traffic violation data for driver licenses within the 2010 COBRA file Crash and Convicted Traffic Violation Data Sent request to OMV to receive convicted traffic violation data for driver licenses within the 2010 Crash database 20

21 Data Integration HSRG working to integrate OMV information with LACRASH software Driver Lookup Given driver license number, retrieve name, address, sex, age, etc.. Data is real time, versus just reading magnetic strip on back on license Vehicle Lookup Given license number, retrieve make, model, Vin, etc.. More complete and accurate information 21

22 Electronic Citation HSRG, OMV, and DOTD met on 3/29/11 and discussed the creation of a statewide standardized citation form Started with the current LA Uniform Traffic Ticket & Complaint Form and added State Ticket Number & Agency Report Number Lat & Long 22
