24 Case Study Manchester Airport Group (MAG) Challenges Manchester Airport Group (MAG) required a reliable mobile solution across their 4 UK airports, to replace Maximo Everyplace which provided access to Maximo only when connected to a Wi-Fi network. MAG recognised the need for digital transformation to drive efficiencies, reinvent business processes and create a digitally intuitive experience, they recognised that the path began with mobilising their workforce As part of a larger project for MAG that looked at ISO55001 accreditation (Lifetime Asset Management Standard) we facilitated workshops to bring their business processes and rules (including desired workflows and data captures) into the Maximo Anywhere mobile solution 24

Linking to MAGs Geographical information Systems the App will display the location of the Asset on a 2D map If additional labour or parts are required they can be logged within the job card in real time MAG identified IBM Maximo Anywhere, as the best route to allow them to evolve in to disconnected and connected mobilisation 27

28 Case Study Manchester Airport Group (MAG) Successes For FY 2016 MAG s OPEX ran at 32m, it is projected to have reduced to 28.2m by FY An OPEX saving of 4m. Representing a 10 to 12% reduction in OPEX attributed to the overall Maximo project which Maximo Anywhere forms a key part of. An intuitive, easy to use solution was the goal and high user adoption of the solution and increased data capture has resulted in the project being identified as a success. This standardised approach created improved data capture across the group relating to the assets and the work carried out on them 28
