4 Introduction AQUAFLEX Waterproofing Technology Established in 1996 in The Netherlands and specialized in developing,and manufacturing EPDM rubber membranes for the construction and roofing applications. 5 ENVIROMENTAL AQUAFLEX EPDM rubber membranes have unique properties allowing it to be the preferable choice for roofing waterproofing and lining applications, it is well established that high polymer materials such as Elastomers and thermoplastics, are particularly able to withstand the extreme conditions to which structures are exposed Thermoplastic materials do not have a cross link structure and can therefore be distorted under thermal or mechanical stress. The molecular structure of Elastomer however, is chemically cross linked, thus preventing them from being deformed by thermal change. The properties of elastomeric membrane are those of elastic rather than plastic. The primary application for AQUAFLEX rubber membranes is roof waterproofing, which can be used as Single ply roofing membrane. Its unique properties make ideal for industrial, commercial and residential projects.
