2 Amendment No. 4 Date: October 15, 2015 Division 400 Sanitary Sewage Pump Stations and Section 400 Details Section Design of Concrete Structures Section Access Openings Increased access opening sizes for conduits based on maintenance needs and included an additional opening for the flow meter wiring Section Discharge Riser Piping Material Section Transition Piping Section Gate and Check Valves Section Retention Pipe In addition to commercial grade sealer, joint sealants via wrap or coupling were added to improve seal at joints during settlement Section Emergency Bypass Connection Added an emergency bypass connection to the valve vault piping to allow the Wastewater Department to bypass sewage around the pumps during emergencies and routine maintenance Section Submersible Wastewater Pumps Section Access Hatches Added fall protection grating to improve safety for workers around the lift station when the hatch is open Section Intrinsic Barriers Clarified that wiring needs to include intrinsic barriers to prevent explosions Section Pump Station Control Panel This section was revised to define the Systems Integrator. The Systems Integrator is the company we use for on-call SCADA services to maintain the alarm system. Included SCADA programing to report flows where flow meters are installed. 3 Included Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) as part of the Control Panel to allow for the Wastewater Department to run the lift station off a backup generator when power is out. Updated control panel products and specifications to reflect what is currently available and used by the Wastewater Division. This also added options for control panel components when bidding Clarified that safety relay needs to include intrinsic barriers to prevent explosions. Included Flow Meter requirement for lift stations with pumps that are 25 hp and greater. This will allow for the Wastewater Department to better track Inflow and Infiltration throughout the wastewater collections system Station Interior Wiring Increased conduit size to sufficiently pass through all wiring between the valve vault and the wet well and altered the junction box specification to reduce maintenance Field Wiring Specifications Clarification based on existing requirements Conduit Specifications Revised based on the above modifications for conduits and wiring Telemetry Equipment Installation Revised to allow telemetry units to be installed only on fiber glass poles. Wastewater Division had experienced signal issues with the SCADA system when mounted to the Control Panel or otherwise Entrance Road Barrier Revised from chained barrier to removable bollards to reduce maintenance concerns with vehicles driving around chained barriers. Section Testing Updated leakage testing requirements based on current ASTM standard methodology and MoDNR standards Detail Standard Water & Sewer Separation Updated based on revisions to the Engineering Design Criteria and Standard Construction Specifications Detail Standard C906 Joints & Fittings and MoDNR standards Detail Water Creek Crossing (Below Flowline of Creek) Updated based on current MoDNR standards Division 700 Streets and Other Public Improvements and Section 700 Details Section Curing Added requirement for exposed edges to be cured to prevent failure of concrete at the back of curb Section Open to Traffic Clarification based on current standards Section 707 Traffic Signs Added section to standardize street name signs, stop signs, sign posts.
