2.0 Aboriginal Commitment Being a 100% owned aboriginal based company, we are committed to improving the quality of life for local aboriginal people. Integral Containment Systems Inc. offers local aboriginal people the opportunity to train for a career in industrial services as part of our multi-task team including scaffolding and containments. After completing the required training and being tested, they are placed in full time employment on one of our active job sites. Associations: NAABA (Northern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association) Metis Association of Alberta 4
3.0 HSE Commitment Corporate Policy It is the policy of Integral Containment Systems Inc. to provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel. To achieve this goal, every reasonable effort shall be made to manage all activities and programs utilizing the principles of accident and loss prevention. We are committed to Safety First with proactive participation from management and every employee. Our Occupational Health and Safety Program are extended to everyone with potential exposure to chemical or physical hazard: including subcontractors, visitors, regulatory agency personnel, site owners and their representatives. All members of our team are ultimately responsible for their own safety by complying with legislative, company and industrial standards as well as prompt reporting of all unsafe acts or conditions to supervisors for immediate action and solution requirements. We are committed to constant and continual improvement in safety performance and management. The success of our Occupational Health & Safety Program requires the dedication, commitment, involvement and participation of all personnel working together to achieve our established goals. 5
3.0 HSE Commitment Training Integral Containment Systems Inc. recognizes that training is one of most essential elements of an effective Occupational Health and Safety Program. This policy has been developed for the purpose of ensuring that workers have been educated and trained in conducting their work in a safe manner. Training Policy: All workers will be given instructions on how to perform their assigned duties safely without endangering themselves or others. New employees will be provided with an Orientation Training before/or on their first day of work. Supervisors will also conduct daily toolbox talks about job site issues, hazards, and any specific PPE that will be required that day. Company safety meetings are held weekly onsite at every Integral Containments worksite. 6
3.0 HSE Commitment Our goal is- Target Zero, everyone comes home safe 7
4.0 Multi-Task Team MULTI-TASK TEAM Years of experience with trying to deal with various contractors to achieve one common goal has led us to build a multi-task team capable of performing all aspects of the contracted work. Each and every worker brings a specific skill set to the team, and are then trained to perform all jobs within the contracted scope of work but not limited to: Fuel-lube technicians Labourers Scaffolding Carpentry Steam bay attendant Steam truck Small equipment operators Mechanics helper Warehouse Personnel Shrink wrap / Containments Material Handlers Supervision Scaffolding design / 3D Modeling 8
4.0 Multi-Task Team TRAINING As we have a very in-depth range of requirements for our Multi-Tasking Team members training is paramount, training and leaning includes but not limited to: CSTS OSSA Regional OSSA Fall Protection H2S Alive OSSA Confined Space First AID Leadership in Safety Excellent Fit Test Fire Extinguisher Air Brakes Skid Steer Aerial Work Platform Counter-balance Forklift Tele-handler (Zoom-Boom) 9
4.0 Multi-Task Team Philosophy Client : Needs be open to our philosophies on what it is to have a multi-task workforce working on their site. Client Employer : Must manage, hire and train the right individuals to become part of the team Employer Worker Worker : Are not confined and complacent. They are offered the opportunity to learn new skills and express them selves For a Multi-Task team environment to be successful, it takes active participation from all levels. 10
4.0 Multi-Task Team Benefits of utilizing a Multi-task Organization Increased safety by each and every employee understanding all hazards associated with any given task One management system for contracted work as opposed to several different systems for the same work More flexible workforce Experienced workers mentor new workers Cost effective / higher productivity Employee satisfaction Better trained workforce Employees are certified Journeyman but are trained and willing to perform all aspects of the contracted work 11
4.0 Multi-Task Team Origins Originally started for Suncor Fort Hills Early works project as a pilot program to test its feasibility, the program quickly proved its value: 1. Diverse workforce Workers were trained and willing to perform all aspects of the work scope thus reducing idle time 2. Cost savings Better trained workforce prevented the need for overmanning the project, the same scope could be performed with fewer hands on 3. Improved safety culture and stats Workers were better able to identify hazards associated with the scope of work by understanding the entire work scope 4. Better Coordination One management system to coordinate the entire work scope The Successful completion of the Fort Hills Early works by our Multi-Tasking Teams completed 8 months ahead of schedule, helped take equipment availability from 72% to 98% while maintaining the highest levels of safety. 12
5.0 Scaffolding Design Scaffolding Equates to approximately 30-35% of major projects overall costs. Other Cost Scaffolding Hoarding 13
5.0 Scaffolding Design With the high cost of scaffolding on any given project ever increasing, we took it upon ourselves, with the help of CADS/UK to come up with a solution to cut labor costs. Our philosophy is, that effective planning must start in the very beginning of any project with support for engineering in the original design stage. We have assisted CADS/UK with the development of the design software since the beginning by providing feedback, whether good or bad, and offering suggestions on anything we think could be improved. Introducing the SMART SCAFFOLDING SYSTEM 14
5.0 Scaffolding Design 3D MODELLING Scaffolds are designed and 3D models created for every scaffold by the planner/scheduler 15
5.0 Scaffolding Design COST ANALYSIS A full cost analysis is generated for every item within a given project 16
5.0 Scaffolding Design PROJECT COST SUMMARY Also, an overall project cost summary is generated with unlimited items within any given project 17
5.0 Scaffolding Design COMPLETE MATERIAL LIST Accurate material lists are generated from the 3D model and exported to the yard staff for picking and delivery 18
5.0 Scaffolding Design FULL SET OF DRAWINGS A complete set of drawings is then issued to the foreman for that area then distributed to the work crews reducing downtime 19
5.0 Scaffolding Design IFC CREATION IFC s are created that can be used to open the model in many formats 20
5.0 Scaffolding Design MODEL INTEGRATION Models are Appended into plant models so as to detect any clashes that have to be addressed prior to erection thus saving time and energy with modifications. NAVISWORKS MODEL FROM IFC NAVISWORKS PLANT MODEL MODELS APPENDED 21
6.0 Containments Different projects sometimes requires different containment options, for that reason we offer a variety of options to suit the clients needs: Shrink Wrap Tension Enclosure System Power Clad Debris Netting 22
