Over the last 15 years we have grown from the smallest galvanizer in the country to the largest metal finishing group in the North of England. As the only in house provider offering a full galvanizing and powder coating service within 150 miles of Leeds; we will collect, treat, and deliver back to you meaning that you don t need to coordinate different haulage companies and subcontractors at each stage of the process saving you money, delays and most importantly your time. Paint and Powder Removal Installed in 2010, our thermal pyrolysis oven is an environmentally friendly way of removing paints, varnish and powder coatings. We have installed extra burners in the system so that the potentially toxic gases created in the burning process are incinerated and transformed into Co2 which is a much friendlier gas to release into the atmosphere. The thermal pyrolysis oven is quick and efficient and we can guarantee to remove 100% of all old coatings which can salvage metal work which at one time would have just been replaced with a completely new installation at a significantly greater cost.

We can process straight lengths up to 13 metres long and frame work up to 4.5 metres high. All of our materials adhere to the strict criteria set by BS EN ISO1461:2009 and we have quality checks throughout the process. Plus, we offer an overnight service so your galvanizing project could be ready in as little as 12 hours.

5 Powder coating Having invested heavily, we have specialist equipment and processes in our powder coating plant to cater specifically for galvanized materials. We can process lengths up to 7 metres long and 2.6 metres high meaning we can coat large and unusual shaped fabrications on our automatic line. We are able to offer extensive stocks of RAL and BS colours and we ensure all projects are coated to comply with EN13438:2013. And because we know you want a quick and efficient service, we are able to turn fabrications around in 24 hours as our plant works day and night. 7 Case Study - Dingley Reservoir Ultra Fabrications in Halifax were commissioned by Yorkshire Water to refurbish and renew the hand rails and fencing leading to the water house inlet at Dingley Reservoir, Huddersfield as cost effectively as possible. The installation was over 100 years old and needed a lot of work to bring it back up to standard. Rather than installing a brand new installation, Ultra Fabrications were able to offer an even more cost effective and environmentally friendly option to Yorkshire Water by being able to restore the existing steelwork with our help. They removed the panels and we stripped and recoated the steelwork using modern techniques to protect the installation for years to come. By utilising all of our services under one roof, Ultra Fabrications only had to liaise with us rather than several subcontractors and they were able to save significant amounts of money on the project and protect panels which would have otherwise been taken to a scrap yard. Once we had picked up the panels and brought them back to our facility, they were inspected and a detailed assessment was made. The thermal pyrolysis oven was then set to tailored temperature and timed settings to fully remove the existing coating. After being stripped and checked by quality control, the panels were sent to be galvanized. The panels were powder coated and delivered back to Dingley Reservoir where Ultra Fabrications were able to reinstall the railings and fencing after having already made minor modifications to make it easier to refit. The result was a cost effective renovation delivered in just 5 days that Yorkshire Water were delighted with. What s more, it will last for years to come and we avoided the unenvironmentally friendly option of the old installation going to the scrap yard.
