The Finance Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals. Please use a clearly marked envelope with the bid name and number when submitting your bid. 2 CITY OF LEWISTON, MAINE FIRE DEPARTMENT TURNOUT GEAR Bid No.: Due: Tuesday, June 28, 2016 by 2:00 p.m. SPECIFICATIONS Turnout coats and pants must be Globe Firefighter Suits or equal. OUTER SHELL MATERIAL - COATS & TROUSERS The outer shell shall be constructed of TENCATE AADVANCED ULTRA7@ 60/20/20 Kevlar7/Nomex7/PBO blend material with an approximate weight of 7.5 oz. per square yard in a rip stop weave. Color of garment to be natural/gold. For Chief Officers, the shell shall be constructed of Nomex (equal to ADefender 750" IIIA Aramid) with an approximate weight of 7.5 oz. per square yard and treated with a water repellent finish. Color of garments to be natural/off white. THERMAL INSULATING LINER - COATS & TROUSERS The thermal liner shall be constructed of 7.2 oz. per square yard TENCATE AARALITE7 NP@. A 7 inch by 9 inch pocket shall be affixed to the inside of the jacket thermal liner on the left side. MOISTURE BARRIER - COATS & TROUSERS The moisture barrier material shall be STEDFAST (STEDAIR7 3000) eptfe moisture barrier is engineered using an E-89J substrate and BHA Technologies eptfe membrane, with an approximate weight of 5.5 oz. per square yard. The moisture barrier material shall meet all moisture barrier requirements of NFPA edition, which includes water penetration resistance, viral penetration resistance and common chemical penetration resistance. THERMAL LINER/MOISTURE BARRIER ATTACHMENT - COATS & TROUSERS The thermal liner and moisture barrier shall be completely removable from the jacket shell. The thermal liner and moisture barrier shall be completely removable from the trouser shell. Both layers of aramid batt shall be sandwiched between the shell and the knee reinforcement layers. The neoprene shall face outward. The Vendor is responsible for the correct sizing of each order. Sizing will be done using actual turnout sizing gear to improve accuracy. The Vendor will be responsible for all sizing at the Fire Department=s requested location.

To include leather front that meets department specifications. NOTE: The vendor is responsible for correct sizing of each order. Sizing will be done using the actual boot to improve accuracy. The vendor will be responsible for all sizing at the Fire Department requested location.
