1 The CBSS Summer University 2018 «Baltic Energy in Changing Energy Landscape» Since 2014, the CBSS has initiated Summer Universities firstly at Södertörn University, Stockholm and Humboldt University Berlin to bring together teachers and students from the Baltic Sea region. Geographic networks and contacts were deepened and broadened. The participants have discussed topics related to the Baltic Sea region such as Cultural Memory in Europe: East and West or Baltic Energy in a Changing Energy Landscape. The CBSS Summer Universities contribute to a better understanding and implementation of the long-term priorities of the CBSS: Regional Identity, Sustainable and Prosperous Region, and Safe and Secure Region. Uniting knowledge as well as participants from all the states of the Baltic Sea region, the Summer Universities helped to cross borders and to establish contacts and cooperation. The Summer Universities offer a space for academic exchange and a platform for dialogue between young leaders of the Baltic Sea region; the results are guiding the on-going regional development.

The powerful Compressor Station Portovaya pressurizes the natural gas to the required level for transport through Nord Stream. The state-ofthe-art compressor station is managed and operated by Gazprom, it enables the secure transmission of gas via the Nord Stream Pipelines all the way to Germany without interim compression. The compressor station is located approximately 1.5 kilometres away from the Nord Stream landfall facility and is connected to the facilities by underground pipelines.

The company supplies blue fuel to various countries; exports stable gas condensate, oil, petroleum products, liquefied hydrocarbon gases, and other petroleum and petrochemical products; carries out the marketing of gas in new markets, optimizes export flows, and analyses and forecasts the natural gas market trends; participates in the development and implementation of Gazprom's gas and energy investment projects in the Russian Federation and abroad; and participates in improving cooperation with foreign partners. It also sells sulfur, helium, odorant, carbon black, and other products. The company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation. Gazprom Export operates as a subsidiary of Gazprom.
