3 Natural Hazards Partnership Focus NHP focuses on natural hazards that disrupt the normal activities of UK communities or damage UK s environmental services. Natural hazards include flood, drought, extreme temperatures, space weather, volcanic ash, earthquakes, land instability, wildfire, snow, ice, fog, aeroallergens, UV, air quality, etc.

Create an All hazard impact tool to cover the following hazards: o Flood owind o Landslides o Combination Impact Risk = Hazard x (Vulnerability x Exposure)

22 Summary of Challenges Public health preparedness and response made easier with Natural Hazards Partnership From discussions Natural Hazards Partnership may be a useful model for our EU partners of note discussions on going with Finland and Switzerland and possibly France and Iceland (NHP already works internationally) Natural Hazards Partnership is willing to work with EU partners to help build methods but there is much more to learn and do
