1 MINIMUM STANDARDS AND CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS FOR WATER AND WASTEWATER SYSTEMS PREFACE The Citrus County Water Resources Department, Utilities Division is committed to providing cost effective, quality based water and wastewater service throughout the County. This manual outlines accepted materials and equipment, provides standard details for design, and provides technical specifications for the construction of these facilities. Effective, this manual applies to all new water/sewer projects for developments within Citrus County's Utility Service Territory, including alterations of existing facilities, and provides a basis for planning of new facilities. It shall be adopted within the Citrus County Code as a technical manual. This manual and specifications shall apply to all new and/or modified utility infrastructure proposed for the Citrus County Utility service area and serves to insure adherence to the County Comprehensive Plan in the planning of utilities within the County. Included in the manual is a material checklist to follow for the engineering and development community. Adherence to these materials will reduce design and review time by removing the need for shop drawing reviews by the Citrus County Utilities Division.
