Distribution: 3 regions ringing Halifax Harbour with 1500 km of distribution mains. Airport Aerotech distribution system. Treatment: JD Kline direct filtration plant (90 MLD). Lake Major conventional filtration plant (45 MLD) Bennery Lake conventional filtration plant (8 MLD). Two small ultra/nanofiltration plants

4 Halifax Water History with PSW 1995: PSW Established by AWWA and partners. 1999: Water Loss Control Program started. 2003: JD Kline Plant registered as ISO compliant. 2004: Halifax Water participated in AWWA G-100 standard. 2005: Water Quality Master Plan adopted. 2007: Halifax Water enrolls in IWTA. 2013: AWWA opened PSW to international partners and Halifax Water enrolls in May Completed Phase II of partnership for distribution and treatment in 2014.

Halifax Water plan: Commence phase III report for one distribution system and one treatment plant in fiscal year. Set goals for first report. Begin other phase III reports sequnetially. 18
