2 Amaravati is the greenfield capital city of Andhra Pradesh In February 2014, the state of Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated, leading to need for a new capital city. INDIA As per the AP Reorganization Act 2014, a new greenfield capital was to be developed for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh With the vision and active involvement of the Political leadership, it was targeted to complete the Phase-1 development by Amaravati An autonomous entity, APCRDA, was subsequently setup under GoAP to drive this initiative.

7 Project Details: Peoples Capital Amaravati Provision of Smart Sustainable Infrastructure Services to these development schemes and to the city as a whole is need of the hour. River Krishna will be the major source of water supply. Total projected water demand for the year 2050 is about 860 MLD including leakages. Pressurised flow system is proposed for water supply from source to water distribution network in the capital city. Total waste water generation for the horizon 2050 estimated as 680 MLD. 9 The Bidding Process It is proposed to engage Design Build Operate (DBO) model for Water system and Waste water. The bidding process would follow on least cost basis, of all Technically qualified bidders: 1. Eligibility Minimum conditions would be prescribed 1) Legally registered in India / Local implementing partner 2) Experience undertaking similar projects 3) Financial capability in line with estimated contract value 2.
