ENGIE has started to develop relationship and cooperation with Chinese partners since more than 30 years. Natural Gas Supply ENGIE guarantees Beijing Energy Supply August 2016, ENGIE and BGG concluded a 10 cargo LNG supply deal, serving as the supplementary source of natural gas for Beijing winter season. On Nov. 27, 2016, the first cargo arrived and unloaded at PetroChina s Caofeidian LNG receiving terminal. Equity Investment Develop Renewable Energy in China for a low carbon future On April 18, 2017, ENGIE China signed an Agreement for a 30% equity investment through capital increase in UNISUN, a solar photovoltaic company in China. 6 Distributed energy supply for higher energy efficiency Technology Transfer ENGIE s low NOx technology helps to fight air pollution in Beijing Chongqing Danzishi CBD district cooling and heating Energy station is owned, constructed and operated by SinoFrench Energy Services Co., Ltd (co-established by Chongqing Gas Group and ENGIE). This energy station uses the renewable Yangtze River water as resource, natural gas as combustible, and water source heat-pump as technology, to provide integrated energy supply services such as cold, heat, hot water and electricity for 800,000 square meters building in CBD area. As the first application of its kind in China, the project was awarded the China Distributed Energy First Prize of the Year To help Beijing deal with the air pollution, ENGIE China joins hands with its joint venture BUGET to carry out the first gas boiler house renovation in the Capital Normal University s Kede College, in Beijing, thanks to the Low NOx Technology Transfer. (UNISUN) Sichuan Energy Investment GDF Suez Energy Co., Ltd. (YUECHI) BUGET was established in 1994, the two shareholders are: Beijing Beiran Enterprise Company Limited (51%) and ENGIE (49%). BUGET provides whole process technical services including plan, design, construction, commissioning, energy saving operation in 4 business: gas engineering, thermal engineering, distributed energy engineering and multi-energy coupling energy supply in order to reach optimal comprehensive energy solutions for customers. Sino French Energy Services was established on July 7th, It is a Joint Venture Company between ENGIE (40%) and Chongqing Gas Group (60%) that aims to promote and develop distributed energy projects in Chongqing and furthermore in China in order to bring innovative solutions to cities and industrial parks. ETS is a Joint Venture Company established on August 4th, 2016 between ENGIE (holds 50% stake) and SCEI Distributed Energy Systems Co., Ltd (holds 50% stake) that aims to become the leader energy management company in China. It is committed to support the national energy saving and emission reduction, achieve the sustainable development, facilitate the reduction of consumer s energy cost, enhance the profitability, to provide the comprehensive energy management solution and maximally achieve the corporate value. Zhejiang Unisun Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. was established on June 26th 2013, the shareholders are Ningbo Unisun Zhuochuang New Energy Technology Co, Ltd. (70%) and ENGIE (30%). UNISUN is a global photovoltaic power plant investor, developer and clean energy solutions provider. By taking full advantage of its approach to quality control, technical design capabilities and project management experience, and thanks to its strong global product development and resource integration capacity, the company is able to provide a Turn-key PV power plant investment service to clients around the world. On July 9th 2015, ENGIE China and Sichuan Energy Investment Distributed Energy Systems (SCEI DES) created a Joint Venture (in which SCEI Distributed Energy Systems Co., Ltd holds 51% stake and ENGIE 49%), for the joint development and the operation of a Distributed Energy Project in the Guangan Huixiang Innovation Park located in Yuechi, Sichuan Province. This project is the first Distributed Energy Project in an industry park in Sichuan. The Joint Venture Company will be the exclusive external supplier of heating and cooling for the industrial clients and the electricity will be sold directly to the grid. The installed capacity of the project is 20 MW, and it is expected to be put into production in early ENGIE in China / Fous on green development 15
