The responsibilities given to me as I gained skills and demonstrated my ability made me feel highly valued. Kevin MacLaren, Deputy Maintenance Manager My Norbord apprenticeship gave me the confidence that I needed to succeed in a working environment. It allowed me to advance my problem solving and practical skills, leaving me in good stead for the future. Ruaridh MacGillivray, Shift Electrician Working within Norbord has allowed me to gain valuable qualifications academically and practically. Working within a progressive team has helped to improve my apprenticeship experience and the skills I have gained from it. Aaron Hossack, Electrician Through my ongoing apprenticeship at Norbord I have gained hands on experience along with qualifications at college. I feel that the skills that I have learnt so far and will learn going forward will be useful to me for my future career. Daniel Long, 2 nd Year Apprentice Electrician The apprenticeship programme at Norbord has allowed me to learn skills that can be applied in everyday life. Throughout the 4 years of my apprenticeship I have been able to learn and work alongside industry experts and gain knowledge on different systems, such as hydraulic, pneumatic and operational situations. This has allowed me to develop my mechanical expertise. Joff Willox, Mechanical Fitter I am currently working through my 2 nd year of my mechanical apprenticeship. The skills and experience that I have attained already have been invaluable. Norbord are also supporting me through my college work as I work towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
