3 Welcome to Paxton First, let me introduce us. Founded in 1985, Paxton are a global technology company based in Sussex, UK. For over 30 years we have been designing and manufacturing security solutions. More recently, we have been using many of the technologies pioneered by the Internet of Things (IoT) to create systems that provide security management, energy efficiency and convenience for smart buildings. My journey I ve worked at Paxton since 1996, and it has been an extremely fulfilling experience. Starting my career at our factory, I've held numerous technical and commercial roles on my journey to become CEO. Over the last couple of decades, the company has been growing rapidly. So much so that, on average, we've doubled in size every three years. Even as we have become a sizeable company, that Most important, by a long way, are the people that work at Paxton, they have been responsible for our success. incredible growth rate is stronger than ever. 5 What We Do We design and manufacture market leading access control, door entry and building intelligence systems for smart buildings. Access Control Access control enables you to control who has access to your building. Locks and keys also allow you to secure your building, but when keys are lost or stolen, the inconvenience and expense of changing locks and re-issuing keys can be considerable. Keys may also be copied, creating even more security risks. All businesses, regardless of size, have assets that need to be protected from theft. There is also the issue of protecting staff and their property. It is common in buildings that are secured by locks and keys for doors to be left unlocked all day. This opens up the possibility of opportunist theft and malicious damage. Building Intelligence Paxton also manufacture a building intelligence system that provides access control, video management and building automation, all within a single system. We are spearheading the changing nature of the security industry by diversifying our product offering to deliver security and building automation as one package. Our Products Our access control and building intelligence products harness the latest technology to provide powerful, yet easy to install and use solutions for our customers. We develop systems for the mid-market (such as education, healthcare, retail, leisure, commercial, public sector) providing solutions suitable for a wide range of sites and requirements. Presently, around 25,000 buildings are secured by Paxton globally each year. We are market leaders in the access control industry due to our continued efforts on the development of high quality products, industry leading customer care and support, ensuring we consistently bring sophisticated solutions to the market.
