By ensuring good food is not wasted, we turn an environmental problem into a solution, helping to feed thousands of vulnerable people every day. Last year this food generated a saving for UK charities of just over 16 million. However the amount of food that can be redistributed is far greater and we have an ambitious plan to divert 100,000 tonnes per year to 13-14,000 front line charities saving the voluntary sector 250 million each and every year. About FareShare FoodCloud FareShare and the Irish social enterprise FoodCloud have announced a collaborative partnership designed to help UK retailers address the issue of edible surplus food they may have within their stores. This innovative partnership, known as FareShare FoodCloud, brings together a technology platform (developed by FoodCloud in Ireland) and FareShare s knowledge of the UK charity food redistribution market. Using this App we will connect even more charities with edible surplus foods. Initially this scheme will be launched with Tesco, with the view to roll this service out to all retailers across the UK & Ireland. 2 About the role This is a rare opportunity to become involved with a national project that will develop the FareShare FoodCloud project across the UK & Ireland. In the role of Project Coordinator you will create connections between charities and the stores that are donating food. The successful candidate must be resourceful and have the ability to build long lasting trusting relationships. We are recruiting at least 10 Project Coordinators who will cover the following geographical areas across the UK: South Wales Scotland Northern Ireland Greater London North & North West England North & North East England The Midlands South & South West South & South East The FareShare FoodCloud Project Coordinator will partner with at least 3 of our 20 FareShare Regional Centres to support the aims of this project and create further links that will help us to achieve our mission. At each regional centre will be a dedicated assistant who will research all of the new charities that want to access this service. Your role will be to work closely with these assistants and their line managers to reach the most charities, in the least amount of time. We are welcoming applications from across the UK, from any city or any town. Successful candidates will work within their immediate regions, with the following key outcomes: Charity Engagement: The Project Coordinators will receive appointments to visit, engage and train new charities on how to use the technology. You will be the first person from FareShare that builds the relationship with our brand. Store Engagement: The Project Coordinator will be the first point of contact for the retail stores in your areas Project Coordinators will attend store launches, engage with store colleagues and offer any further support that may be needed. Food Safety: You will ensure that our exceptional standards of food compliance are adhered to by performing routine audits of kitchen and food handling facilities. Regional partnership: These roles are an integral part of our FareShare network and you will partner closely with the regional centre in your localities. You will also work closely with our Regional Assistants and help them to develop the various different interactions between this project and the charities we serve.

3 Please Note: The successful candidates will be required to travel and occasionally spend time away from home, in furtherance of the aims of the project. This role may occasionally require some evening or weekend working hours. You may also be asked to work in different parts of the country from time to time. We will only consider candidates who are flexible with their working arrangements, and we ask that applicants consider this before applying for the role. Summary of Responsibilities At its heart, this role is about making connections and building relationships. Successful candidate will demonstrate that they have the ability to work collaboratively with others and act with integrity and professionalism. Whilst we expect candidates to demonstrate that they have good technical and organisational skills, you must also have strong interpersonal skills to be able to build trusting relationships. Charity Recruitment Visit new charities that have been identified by the Regional Assistants. Perform the initial training and checks of kitchen facilities. Create connections between this project and other FareShare services. Demonstrate expert knowledge of the FareShare FoodCloud service and respond to charity enquiries timely and professionally. Store Engagement Support tour ambition to have as many stores using this service, as quickly as possible. Positively and proactively promote the work of FareShare FoodCloud at launch events. Use networking events to identify new users of other FareShare services. Respond to enquiries that may arise from store managers and offer additional support when it is needed. Regional Partnership Work in partnership with our regional centres within your different areas. Support the regional administrators, who are targeted to connect with new and existing charity service users, with the FareShare FoodCloud scheme. Attend networking or other events alongside regional manager, or attend in their place when they need you to.

4 Food Handling & Safety Ensure that we strictly adhere to our high standards of food handling compliance. Work with our National Operations team to resolve training needs regarding compliance to food handling. Other Create brand advocates by championing the reputation of FareShare and FoodCloud. Occasionally report to managers and trustees across our network, and inform them of the positive social impact of the project. Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested. Person Specification Essential Criteria Have exceptional relationship building skills. Must be able to self-manage your own performance and development. Be organised, with a proven track record of achieving quality results or supporting others to help them deliver theirs. Be a strong communicator who is able to engage with a variety of audiences. Have a proven ability to create links across teams to share best practices. Have experience training others, whilst adjusting their style for different audiences. Have strong IT skill and a knowledge of Microsoft Office Be degree educated or have a strong career history doing similar roles in any sector. Be flexible about your working arrangements as the role may involve high levels of travel to other areas of the UK. Desirable Criteria Have a valid driver s licence for the UK and access to your own transport. Level 2/3 Food Safety training is desirable, but training will be provided. Have previous experience working with constituent relationship management (CRM) software. Experience using Salesforce is advantageous. Due to the pressures of the project timetable, we must embargo all annual leave until 1 st April We will consider candidates who have existing holidays booked, provided this is disclosed in your final interview.

5 Important notes to read about the application, interview and induction information process All applications must be received by no later than mid day on Monday, 9 th November There are more than 10 Project Coordinator roles available on 2 year, or 6 month contracts (depending on experience and location). Final interviews are scheduled to commence during the week commencing the 16 th November across 5 sites in the UK. We will endeavour to assign you your nearest interview site, however some candidates may be required to travel to our centralized FareShare UK office in London. In exceptional cases we will consider final interviews by Skype In some cases we will reimburse up to 50 of any travel costs where we cannot match you to your nearest interview site. Successful candidates will be informed by Monday 23 rd November. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by post and due to the numbers of expected candidates we may not be able to offer individual feedback. All successful candidates will attend a three day induction starting on the 6 th January 2016 at a centralized site. We will consider candidates whose current notice period is longer than one month; however you must be available to attend this induction training. Due to the time pressures of this project we may appoint some candidates to start earlier than the 6 th January. All candidates are required to provide at least two references as part of their application and may be subject to DBS checks. Due to the time restraints of this project we will embargo all annual leave until the 1 st April. Candidates will still be considered if they have holiday booked during this time, however dates must be disclosed as part of your final interview.
