1 Role Description Position Title: Reports to: Department: Location: Current Incumbent: Outlet Finance Manager Finance Operations Manager House of Travel Holdings Limited Christchurch New role Role Purpose Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the Outlet Finance Manager (OFM) is charged with providing the leadership and development of the Retail Finance team and Central Accounts team. This will be achieved by ensuring financial insights, disciplines, accuracy, and timely reporting is delivered by the team. The OFM is also charged with providing group financial management on the investment made in Orbit partnerships. This will be achieved by ensuring Orbit group financial insights are reported and delivered in an accurate and timely manner. The OFM will work closely with the Finance Operations Manager and other Finance Managers in Christchurch and Auckland to ensure the Finance team as a whole meets the annual operating plan (AOP) being the Budget and any subsequent reforecasts that are made. The OFM supporting both the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the team to produce monthly Board reporting as it relates to Outlets, monthly Outlet reporting, year-end statutory reporting, assistance with TAANZ reporting preparation, and providing proactive guidance on the financial state of our Orbit and Retail business partnerships. The role s key requirement is being able to partner with key Management and Finance team members to deliver both the AOP and strategic imperatives as they relate to both the Retail and Orbit Business team and strategic imperatives as they relate to HOT Holdings investment in Orbit partnerships. This role will require an understanding of the individual businesses key value levers and opportunities to increase their profitability, a commitment to ensuring great business relationships exist between the Finance teams in each of the partnerships and the Hot Holdings Finance team, ensuring appropriate governance reporting is in place, risk management, and there is consistency of process and utilisation of retail and Orbit accounting systems. Orbits have more responsibility for their own finance departments and succession issues/recruiting than Retail does. It is therefore important to establish clearly with the Orbits what it is they are responsible for and what the expected deliverables are to this role. The OFM will be expected to identify/foresee issues early and develop strong relationships with Retail Outlets Accounts staff and their Owner Operators. It is important that the OFM is seen to be working collaboratively with the Tax and Compliance Manager (TCM) particularly around the sharing of resources from time to time. Page 1

Oversee, prepare and deliver the Retail financials for the annual budgeting and reforecast process. Monitor & review performance and provide information to support, understand, review & maximise ROI Oversee cashflow analysis for dividend payments and debtor analysis Partner the Strategy Director and provide them with up to date in order to achieve the Orbit business profitability goals Oversee the management and strategic growth of the Central Accounts function Oversee the Monthly debtor preparation and analysis with India. Training and assistance as required Commercial and financial acumen Organisational skills Delegate and lead the team to produce a high performing centre Proactivity Sound relationship and communication skills resulting in a great partnership relationship with business unit managers Effective input as part of the Finance Management team Page 2

3 Ensure Group Finance Function is kept up to date with performance and issues of the Retail and Orbit business, and that all Group reporting requirements are met, including preparation of the yearend statutory reports with appropriate resourcing (contractors and India) Manage EOY, Budgeting and Forecasting discussions with Owner Operators and the Commercial Manager Business Partnerships and Business Retail Team. The TCM will consult with the OFM if any assistance is required regarding Provisional Tax discussions with the Outlets Ensure adequate controls are in place to minimise financial risk. Ensure systems are being used efficiently and effectively, and are consistent with Group financial reporting initiatives and support best practice Provide Ad hoc information, project work, and analysis as requested Leadership and Culture Constructive relationships and interactions both within the team and other stakeholders, specifically including Management and the Group Finance team 20% Appropriate above the line achievement focused behaviour Provide leadership for the Retail Finance team and Central Accounts team Ensure that personal development plans are in place and regular one on ones are held Maintain an open, fun, positive and highly productive environment Provide financial and commercial leadership and guidance to the Finance team.
