Initial call was answsered by EAP counselor, who does the intake. Results Thus Far 174 employees (77.3%) completed the Health Risk Assessment and participated in screenings. 60 employees (26.7%) are actively working with a Wellness Coach There have been 366 contacts between coach and employee There have been 476 log-ins to the website 25 employees (14.3%) completed either the online smoking cessation, weight management or fitness programs Coaches refer client to EAP or Work-Life as needed; EAP refers to Coaching or WL as needed. Page 26
27 A Case Study on Integration: Individual Overview Scenario Manager was using wellness program for weight reduction and was doing well. At a check-in with her health coach she admitted she had relapsed and was eating a lot. She was taking care of her mother, who had cancer, husband had asked for a divorce and her teenage daughter was sneaking out at night. Call was transferred to EAP. She received support and agreed to face-toface counseling. Therapy provided her with someone to talk to about her feelings rather than resorting to emotional eating. Outcome EAP clinician worked with manager to focus on her strengths and coping strategies. Employee was successful with her weight reduction efforts. As the manager of Dining Services, she changed the menu to healthier options, affecting the nutritional health of the entire workplace. Page 27
