3 Instrument Set-up Overvew The safety nstructons and the user manual should be read through carefully before the product s used for the frst tme. The person responsble for the product must ensure that all users understand these drectons and adhere to them. Press button 1 and ref erence from front s set 2 permanently. Leave actual functon, go to default operaton mode. If the message "InFo" appears wth a number, observe the nstructons n "Message Codes" secton. Example: Dstance s measured from the front of the devce. Dstance s measured from the rear of the devce (standard settng). Multfunctonal endpece The orentaton of the endpece s automatcally detected and the zero pont s adjusted accordngly. 6 Measurng Functons Measurng sngle dstance 1 2 Am actve laser at target. Target surfaces: Measurng errors can occur when measurng to 3 colourless lquds, glass, styrofoam or sem-permaeble surfaces or when amng at hgh gloss surfaces. Aganst dark surfaces the measurng tme ncreases m Permament / Mnmum-Maxmum measurng 1 2 mn. max. Used to measure room dagonals (maxmum values) or horzontal dstance (mnmum values). The mnmum and maxmum dstance measured s dsplayed (mn, max.). The last value measured s 3 dsplayed n the man lne m Stops permanent / mnmummaxmum measurng. Add / Subtract m The next measurement s added to the prevous one. The next measurement s subtracted from the prevous one. The result s shown n the man lne and the measured value above. 3 Ths process can be repeated as re m m qured. The same process can be used for addng or subtractng areas or volumes. 9 Measurng Functons Stake out 6x m Adjust value m Approve value and start measurement. Move devce slowly along the 4 stake-out lne. The dstance to the next stake out pont s dsplayed m m m s mssng up to next m dstance. When approachng a stake out pont to less than 0.1 m the nstrument starts to beep.
