8 FULL SERVICE RESEARCH We offer full service qualitative and quantitative research, eye tracking, facial coding, and advanced analytics (such as conjoint, regressions, MaxDiff, and TURF). 8

9 IN-HOUSE RECRUITING For each project we use an in-house recruiter, utilizing social media for hard-tofind target audiences, building your respondent composition from scratch. All participants are phone screened by our inhouse recruiters. This avoids quality issues related to professional respondents. 9

10 FACIAL CODING captures a verbal response in combination with a facial expression. All 43 facial muscles can be coded back to a core emotion (e.g., joy, frustration etc.) allowing us to overlap verbal responses with core emotions for less bias and richer insights. 10

Prior to founding Zeitgeist Research, Dr. Bluemel served as the Worldwide Head of Corporate Market Research for Amazon.com in Seattle. Dr. Bluemel brings years of experience in the retail, e-commerce, software, beverage, travel, and mobile application industries. He specializes in brand equity measurement, decision path analysis, segmentation, and product concept testing, as well as customer satisfaction metrics and advertising effectiveness measurements. Manfred is a highly regarded e-commerce consultant, working with companies such as Bain Capital or McKinsey, and is a frequent speaker at the American Marketing Association, Market Research Association, and the Austrian Chamber of Business. 25

26 26 JENNIE LAVAQUE COO & Partner Greater Minneapolis Area Jennie LaVaque is COO and Managing Partner of Zeitgeist Research. Ms. LaVaque brings over 20 years of custom primary market research experience utilizing innovative techniques for both qualitative and quantitative studies. Before joining Zeitgeist Research, Ms. LaVaque was Senior Research Director at comscore Inc., where she established herself as an industry expert in communicating high-end strategic insights with actionable results to Fortune 500 companies. In this capacity, she did extensive work for Amazon.com and worked closely with Dr. Manfred Bluemel, who was the Worldwide Head of Corporate Market Research for Amazon.com at that time. Ms. LaVaque has particular expertise in the retail, technology, social media, telecommunications, retail and healthcare verticals. Director of Strategic Research - Greater Chicago Area Bill Sallas, Ph.D. is Director of Strategic Research at Zeitgeist Research where he brings a unique blend of strategic thinking and scientific rigor to deliver impactful insights. Prior to joining Zeitgeist Research, Dr. Sallas served as a Research Director at Halverson Group. In addition to a strong background in traditional market research methodologies, he has developed a number of new techniques and incorporated cutting-edge technologies such as mobile eye tracking, video analytics, crowd-sourced insights, and online data collection to improve the quality, depth, and speed of insights delivered to his clients. Dr. Sallas has experience in the pharmacy, retail, QSR, apparel, and CPG verticals, where his clients include Walgreens, McDonald s, The North Face, and Coca-Cola. He has also worked with creative agencies including FCB, Tris3ct, and Catapult Marketing from early ideation and concept testing to in-market operations tests. 27

28 LAURIE EDDINGS Market Research Manager - Greater Jacksonville Area Laurie Eddings, Market Research Manager, brings more than 16 years of experience from both the client and vendor side of the industry including extensive knowledge in brand strategy, creative testing, customer experience and product optimization. Prior to joining Zeitgeist Research, Laurie started her career working for Miramax Films/The Weinstein Company in New York as Vice President and head of market research for ten years, where her experience in marketing/brand strategy enabled her to successfully implement new research solutions and play an integral role in cratering further success for the brand s products. Then, following her tenure at Miramax, she joined Kantar/TNS as a Microsoft account lead where she developed key business insights for the various entertainment divisions before being recruited by Los Angeles bases Ipsos Global Research to work with a large variety of brands across all industries, including: T-Mobile, Dell, Absolut, Merck, L Oreal, Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Disney and Fox Studios. 28

29 HOLLY EDMUNDS Director of Research Strategies - Greater Phoenix Area Holly Edmunds is Director of Research Strategies and has over 25 years of market research experience. She is a skilled focus group moderator and IDI facilitator across a wide range of industries and with both consumer and business audiences. Ms. Edmunds' client portfolio includes Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Accenture, Virgin Mobile, and Blackberry. She has designed and managed projects that span the globe in their scope in Asia, Europe, and North and South America.
