AUSTRALIAN AIRPORTS ASSOCIATION ONLINE COURSE GUIDE 2018 1

1982 2017 YEARS Leveraging 35 years representing the airport industry, the AAA is a career partner for anyone working at Australia s airports, at every stage of their career. From individuals new to the airport sector to organisations looking for an overall training solution, the AAA delivers market leading education designed to meet the needs of our highly regulated industry. The AAA has developed this education offering to provide a career path for those working in operational roles at airports and to provide an easy and cost-effective way for the industry to remain up to date with the latest industry standards. Online delivery means that members save on the costs of losing staff out of the office for lengthy periods as well as saving on travel costs. The AAA has developed interactive and engaging courses that not only meet regulatory requirements but also focus on teaching in a way that ensures a strong retention of information as well as resources that can be accessed when staff are in day to day operational airport situations. This course guide showcases the breadth and depth of our course offering, with detailed module information on all of the nine courses we have developed for industry. From a new industry entrant to those with thirty years experience, the AAA is here to support you through your airport education journey. WHY STUDY ONLINE The Australian Airports Association Education division operates to provide industry relevant training development opportunities to members and non-members alike. AAA Education is focused on creating exciting and interactive training products that allow the student to engage in real world application of the content. For further information about the AAA Education offering please visit www.airporteducation.asn.au. The benefits of online training vs face to face There are many reasons to conduct the Australian Airports Association courses online and not just because they are easy to access. A common issue around face to face training is the instructor has a set time and process for delivery and therefore students may feel they don t get all the information they need. The alternative is online learning where the student determines the pace of delivery, has the option to review previous material, can log in and out as required and receives the same material delivered in the same manner each time. For employers this means every employee has received the exact same training and method of delivery which creates a uniform level of competency. For our industry, it means that persons who have completed this training are employable across a variety of aerodromes and locations without the need for retraining. Suit your lifestyle and schedule Because you can access your online course materials 24/7, 365 days a year, you can study whenever it suits you. So if you have a family to look after, a day job, a night job or you simply function better at two o clock in the morning, an online course is the obvious solution for you. You can log in and out as many times as you need to, and when you return, your progress is saved and you simply pick up where you left off. Study when you re focused It s incredibly hard to absorb and process information when you re distracted by other responsibilities or when you re tired, unwell, bored or even feeling restless. Choose your own times of the day or night when you feel fresh and focused and you ll find learning so much easier. The only student When you study online, you are, for all intents and purposes, the only student in the room. It s all about you, your goals, your needs and your outcomes. This method of delivery allows you to move through the course at your pace, therefore you never get left behind. HOW TO ENROL You can access the AAA online courses via the Australian Airports Association Education webpage www.airporteducation.asn.au to complete the enrolment and payment process. Access to your training is granted immediately on successful enrolment without the need to wait to be issued your logon details. For the full list of terms and conditions please visit our webpage www.airporteducation.asn.au 2
