A strategically placed trough can increase grazing coverage and improve the weight and general wellbeing of the animal. Ensure the trough site is level. Lift trough into desired position. Check trough is level using a spirit level. Connect trough valve as per manufacturer s instructions. Connect water supply as per manufacturer s instructions. Check connections for leaks. Note: Never lift more than one trough at a time and keep a safe distance at all times.appropriate lifting chains or forks should be used when lifting troughs. 3 Round Protector Series The protector series range of troughs is designed to protect the trough valve from curious and lively animals. The lid is designed so it cannot be pushed off and the handles allow for easy removal and placement without pinching fingers. The protector chamber and lid ensures your water supply is protected. TRP900N, TRP750N and TRP515N offer lower sides to prevent young stock from being injured. 4 Round Open Series The round open series of troughs offer a good economical alternative to protector troughs. It is recommended that these troughs are checked regularly when stock are present, to ensure damage to the trough valve has not occurred. Some open series troughs are only available in the North Island.
