2 SHREDDED HARDWOOD BARK MULCH (2 Cubic Feet Bag) Shredded Hardwood Bark Mulch is the most popular mulch. With a fine-texture, uniform size and medium to dark brown color this mulch provides a pleasing, natural, finishing touch to any planting bed. As with our other quality mulches, Fine Shredded Hardwood Bark Mulch conserves water, suppresses weeds, moderates soil temperatures and adds valuable organic content to planting beds. CEDAR MULCH (2 Cubic Feet Bag) Cedar Mulch is shredded and has a reddish-brown color and pleasing aroma. It contains cedar oil and therefore lasts longer than most mulch. Because Cedar Mulch has a fibrous texture, it tends to hold together on sloped surfaces. A native Texas recycled product, Cedar Mulch is reported to repel insects, decompose slowly and hold its color longer than cypress. It is one of the finest mulches on the market. BLACK MULCH (2 Cubic Feet Bag) Black Mulch is composed of white wood from fresh ground pine and hardwood lumber. It looks great under shrubs and trees. The dark color highlights the plants above it. As with other colored mulches, Black Color Mulch is a dyed product. Black Mulch adds organic material to the soil mix as it decomposes. Saturday, February 24, Band delivers mulch to all customers.

5 Selling Tips Each Band student receives a colorful sales flyer to be used as a sales talking tool. It gives details about the product, pricing, delivery, etc. Each Band student will also receive a page of 3 summary fliers. The students should make several copies of these to hand out. These are copier friendly and can be left on neighbor s front doors if nobody is at home, or left as a reminder after you have spoken to your customer. The response rate is much better if the Band student talks to the person. Be courteous with your customers. Look them in the eye, speak clearly and slowly. Say thank you even if they don t buy anything. All payments are collected in advance. They can pay by credit card or PayPal on the spot by scanning the QR code. If they pay by cash or check, please collect at the time of the sale and fill out the order form. Turn in payments with order forms to the band hall safe Friday, February 16. The mulch we deliver is manufactured and bagged in Houston by Living Earth Technology. Again, be courteous with customers. Look them in the eye, speak clearly and slowly. Say thank you even if they don t buy anything. You are representing yourself, your family, and the CRHS Band. OPTIONAL: Band students may offer to charge between $0.50 and $1.00 a bag to spread the mulch. This is an independent arrangement between the customer and the student that some people have requested. The money would be paid directly to the students performing the labor. The band and the band boosters are not involved with this transaction.
